Jill Biden to MSNBC's Mika: The 'Horrible' Republicans are Cruel to Hunter

Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is in trouble so it is all hands on deck. One decision the campaign has decided to do is to deploy Jill Biden as much as possible on the campaign trail.

She sat down for an interview with MSNBC’s Morning Mika this morning. Jill Biden is much different than her husband, the president. Jill is 72-years-old and still has her wits about her. She can conduct an interview without mumbling and stumbling over her words. I don’t agree with almost anything she says, ever, but I can understand the words she is saying at the time. Jill is able to leave a stage without looking like a lost child. She frequently is called upon to be her husband’s handler – she helps him maneuver a stage or helps him shuffle off to an awaiting car.

Going to MSNBC and doing an interview with Mika Brzezinski was the equivalent of an in-kind campaign donation. There were no hard questions. It was more than 7 minutes of nothing but softballs being pitched to the first lady. Jill Biden’s job is to reassure voters that he can do the job for another four years. It’s a hard sell, to be sure, given how unpopular with Americans. He has been a complete failure.

“I see his energy. I see his vigor.” Ewww. Anyway, sorry Jill, there is no vigor left in the old man. I think she believes what she says, because she comes from a wife’s perspective. She wants to see vigor and energy because she wants to see him re-elected. But, we see him differently. He works for us. We see a dazed and confused old man who can’t even use his notecards efficiently. A lot of people will be surprised to see him make it until November, much less another four year term in office. To state the obvious, he is in the throes of dementia. The leader of the free world cannot be suffering from dementia.

Joe Biden was out of the White House for 138 days in 2023, either in one of his homes in Delaware or at Camp David. He also took vacations and accepted the hospitality of billionaires who offered their mansions to the president as places to stay on vacation. When Jill Biden says Joe is working every day around the clock, it is just not believable.

Jill told Morning Mika that Joe’s age is an asset. If he wins re-election, he will be 86 when his second term is up. He is the oldest American to win the White House.

‘He can do it. I see Joe every day. I see him out, you know, traveling around this country. I see his vigor. I see his energy. I see his passion every single day,’ she said.

‘I say his age is an asset,’ she continued, adding ‘he’s wise. He has wisdom. He has experience. He knows every leader on the world stage. He’s lived history. He knows history. He’s thoughtful in his decisions. He is the right man or the right person for the job at this moment in history.’

Age often brings wisdom. However, in Joe Biden’s case, he has been historically wrong throughout his decades in public office. Look at what happened when he ignored the advice and guidance from his military officers and consultants and made his own decisions on the withdrawal from Afghanistan. 13 American military members were killed, equipment was left behind, and the Taliban immediately came in and took over the vacuum left in power.

Jill Biden thinks Republicans are horrible for how Hunter is being treated. The problem there is that Hunter is being treated as he should be – he’s being held accountable for his actions, perhaps the first time in his life. Jill can be considered an enabler in Hunter’s addiction problems. Hunter paid for his addiction by selling the family name for millions of dollars. That corruption deserves to be investigated.

‘What they are doing to Hunter is cruel, and I’m really proud of how he has rebuilt his life after addiction. I love my son. It’s hurt my grandchildren. That’s what I’m so concerned about, that it’s affecting their lives as well,’ the first lady said in an interview that aired on Morning Joe on Thursday.

‘Horrible,’ was the word Biden used when Brzezinski asked her about Republicans showing photos of Hunter in the House.

Brzezinski asked the first lady about the criticism from the other side, including calling them ‘the Biden crime family’ and criticizing her husband for being a ‘liar’ and ‘mentally incompetent.’

Biden responded the investigation by Republicans of her family and the protests against them, such as the ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ meme, have made her even more determined to see Joe Biden get another term in the White House.

‘Oh, that makes me want to be in the fight even more, because we have to win. We must win. We cannot let go of our democracy,’ she said.

She and Joe say ugly things about Trump and his supporters but Jill doesn’t seem concerned about Trump’s grandchildren being hurt by the names their grandfather is called. I haven’t heard anyone call Hunter Hitler.

She called MAGA Republicans “estremists” and said, ‘It’s hard to see what the other side – the extremists – have turned this country into, I mean, we would never see things like that, say, ten years ago,’ Biden said.

Let’s get into the wayback machine. In 2014, Barack Obama and Joe Biden were in the White House. Black Lives Matter began in 2013 and picked up steam in 2014. Perhaps Jill has forgotten the mass chaos and violence that has come from that movement. Barack Obama encouraged that movement. He sent his administration officals, including his attorney general Eric Holder, to the funeral of Michael Brown. Brown is the one who started the phony mantra of “hands up, don’t shoot.” Barack Obama was the most racially divisive president in my lifetime and Joe Biden is a very close second.

Mika did as she was expected to do. She was a cheerleader for the Biden administration and only asked softball questions. This is what we have to look forward until the November election. It’s enough to turn your stomach.
