Joe and Jill Biden returned to the White House after time spent at Camp David to address the National Education Association’s annual summit in Florida via a video call. Jill Biden spoke to the group, representing the nation’s largest teacher union, and then the president spoke to them. Jill Biden was sure to announce that she is entering her 39th year of teaching.

On Monday, union President Becky Pringle called Florida “Ground zero for shameful, racist, homophobic, misogynistic, xenophobic rhetoric and dangerous actions.” She’s a peach.

“Inequity is baked into every social system in this country,” Pringle continued, mentioning recent Supreme Court decisions that ended race-based admissions at universities. “We must raise our voices and say: No! You will not arm teachers. No! You will not shrink our students’ curriculum. No, you will not leave them unprepared to lead a just society.”

Victimization, gun control, and pushing CRT and sexualization of classroom studies is what she’s pushing. It’s no wonder school children are in the bind they are in with public schools. They aren’t reading or doing math at grade level but they are learning to feel shame if they are white. They are learning to be blame-America-first people instead of a-republic-if-you-can-keep-it people.

Jill referred to “Joe” as “the education president.” And, “The Biden education pathway.” What is she talking about?

Her speaking manner is cringeworthy. Imagine her speaking to her classes. Ugh.

She promotes gun control, of course, as does Joe, when he speaks to them.

Teachers are on “the front-line of gun violence” and Congress must act to pass gun control legislation, President Joe Biden said at the National Education Association’s convention on Tuesday.

Biden said some measure had been passed on a bipartisan basis last year in the aftermath of the mass shooting at the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas but ,”it’s not nearly enough.”
“Congress needs to step up and pass common sense gun safety laws to protect our kids and educators,” Biden said.

Biden also rejected calls by some Republicans that teachers should be armed as a way of curtailing school shootings.

“Arming teachers is not the answer. Banning assault weapons, high capacity magazines, background checks. They are the answer,” Biden said.

There was a lot of talking about “free” programs – free Universal Pre-K, free community college, teacher raises, apprenticeship programs.

He spoke about banning books. That’s the trope that the radical left use against those who work to keep inappropriate material out of classrooms in elementary schools. It is not banning books to move a book from the library shelves used by grade K-3 students to a shelf used by older students. The book is still available. Also, that book is available at public libraries and bookstores, if a child wants to read it with his or her parent’s permission. The point is, parents discovered some of the lesson plans used in public schools, thanks to online learning used during the pandemic, and parents rose up to say enough is enough. Teaching young students about sex and gender by incorporating those topics into lesson plans is not acceptable. Let the leftists complain. Their authoritarian grab at public education is at long last coming to an end, hopefully. That is the silver lining to the horrible time of the pandemic – at home learning got parents involved in their children’s education more so than pre-pandemic. Now we see the rise of parental participation at school board meetings. There is also an increase in the demand for school choice. If not now, when?

Governor DeSantis is leading the way as a Republican red state governor. He has signed into law legislation that protects school children and reminds everyone that parents raise children, not teachers unions or politicians. Joe Biden is fond of saying that all children belong to everyone, which is a true nod to communism. The left laps it up. Remember how the left embraced Hillary’s mantra that it takes a village to raise a child? That is not how free people talk.

The irony is noted that Joe Biden addressed the largest teacher union on July 4th – Independence Day – when America celebrates her freedom. There are few groups less supportive of freedom than a teacher union. Or, any union, for that matter, but especially teacher unions. They demanded that the White House keep pandemic mandates in place long after they were useful. They demanded schools be closed, causing America’s children to lose ground they may never be able to re-gain in their education. Unions greedily took advantage of the pandemic and demanded pay raises for themselves, though schools were closed. They demanded they be treated as first responders and were among the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccines. Still, schools remained closed for up to two years in some places. Is this the village you want raising America’s next generation?

What about the teachers who scheme to keep information from parents, such as when a child decides to use different pronouns or identifies as the opposite sex at school? Parents are saying no, enough is enough.

Joe Biden is senile, which gives me no pleasure in saying because he is the leader of the free world and that affects us all. Jill Biden is power-hungry and uses her base, the teacher unions, for support. These two in the White House are enough to make me lose sleep. Thank goodness for groups that are standing up and taking control back from the unions and school districts. Biden’s DOJ labeled them a domestic terrorists when they began to show up at school board meetings but they hung in there and didn’t stop. Their work continues today and opposition is still fierce from the radical left who were content with the status quo.

One group is gaining support across the country. Moms for Liberty is organized and held a four-day conference in Philadelphia last weekend. Republican presidential candidates wisely embraced the group and spoke at their conference to the 1,000 attendees. The SPLC labeled them a hate group so you know they are over the target.

Republicans have to push back on the left’s dangerous social agenda. When it comes to public education, Democrats have continued their march to socialism over the past couple of decades and used the public school system – through the teacher unions – at the expense of America’s children. There is a need for the return of Civics and any time you watch a man-on-the-street interview, that fact is brought home. People don’t know the name of the highest level of elected officials, much less their local elected officials. They hear the president say that the Supreme Court misinterpreted the Constitution when it ruled against the taxpayer-funded student loan bail-out. He promises to use work-arounds to circumvent both the Supreme Court and Congress to rob trillions of dollars from taxpayers. How is this different than a dictator in a banana republic? All to satisfy the union and young people he hopes will believe him again and vote for him to erase their student debt. Will they fall for Biden’s unconstitutional promises again? Probably. If they lack an education that included studying the Constitution, it is completely predictable.

Joe Biden is out of control, as are the teacher unions. Change is needed, starting with the leadership in the White House.
