Some good news on a Friday afternoon. Maybe you saw this clip earlier in the week. Sunday night a creep in Philadelphia got off his motorcycle, climbed onto a car and smashed the back window with his feet. The woman driver got out of the car to confront him and he put a gun in her face. She followed him anyway and he head butted her with his helmet. Undeterred, she pushed over both him and his motorcycle before he got up and sped away.

Wednesday, police arrested the man on the motorcycle. He is 26-year-old Cody Heron and police were tipped off by, among others, his employer. I’m pretty sure they are now his former employer.

The motorcyclist captured in a viral video stomping out the back windshield of a car with two small kids inside was arrested Wednesday after the suspect’s employer and others tipped off police, according to authorities…

Typically lenient Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner reportedly requested Heron be held on $5 million bail, but a judge set it for 10% of $2.5 million during Heron’s arraignment Wednesday night, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The woman who jumped out of the car was Nikki Bullock. She says the incident started before the video began when she tried to change lanes and the motorcycle ran into her car, leaving a dent. She realizes in retrospect that what she did was very risky and could have ended much differently.

“It could have went way worse,” Bullock told me. “It could have been a murder charge. It could have been a video of me dying.”…

Bullock, who works for an Amazon fulfillment center, had been making deliveries for Uber Eats when she said Heron hit the side of her car near City Hall and the two of them exchanged words. At one point, she said the attacker lifted his shirt to reveal a gun in his waistband.

“The only reason he didn’t shoot it through the car, is there was another guy who was on four-wheeler… [who said] ‘Oh, you’ve got a little girl in the car. You’re lucky you’ve got a little girl in the car,’” Bullock recalled.

There were two kids in the car, ages 5 and 2. So Heron smashed the back window knowing those two kids were back there. Bullock is grateful for people who have since offered her help without her even asking:

She and her girlfriend Alexis, whose last name is being withheld to protect her privacy, are grateful for the outpouring of money and gifts they have been getting from strangers. A good Samaritan — a.k.a. Otto Glass Repair — offered to fix the car’s window. Thomas Montgomery Jr., the owner of The Wiz Cafe in North Philly, helped pay for what needed to be done and also treated the family to Fruity Pebbles French toast for breakfast while their car was getting repaired. Other strangers, who found her account information online, have been donating to her Venmo and CashApp accounts. (They did not set up a GoFundMe.)

Her plan is to replace the red car because she feels unsafe driving it now that it has been part of a viral video.

Anyway, it’s good news this creep has been arrested and is now facing a list of charges: “Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and multiple counts of Aggravated Assault.” He’s probably going to prison for this stupid and dangerous stunt, though you never really know in Larry Krasner’s neck of the woods.
