Doxing Democrats Over Israel

In case you’re not familiar with Congressman Shri Thanedar of Michigan’s 13th district, he’s a Democrat and was formerly affiliated with the Democratic Socialists, so he’s clearly no right-wing, MAGA type of person. I say “formerly,” because after seeing the response of the other Democratic Socialists to the October 7 terror attacks, Thanedar broke off his association with the group. He has remained a strong supporter of the people of Israel since that time. That didn’t sit well with his formerly enthusiastic supporters, and a large group of them showed up at his home at three in the morning this weekend and proceeded to terrorize him with noisemakers and chanting, preventing him from sleeping. They apparently believe that he is “complicit in genocide.” (Fox News)

A group of anti-Israel protesters descended on the home of Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., over the weekend blowing car horns and screaming as they sought to punish him for what they claimed was his “silence” on the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza amid Israel’s war with Hamas.

“This is my home at 3 AM,” Thanedar wrote in a post on X, including a video that showed cars lined in the street outside his home, an individual waving a cloth-like material, and others screaming through megaphones. The video appeared to be posted by a supporter of the protesters.

“You are complicit in the bombing of Gaza… Your silence is violence. Your silence is abhorrent, and we will not let you sleep!” one protester can be heard screaming.

Here’s the video that Thanedar posted to Twitter, showing the “lovely” group of people terrorizing him at three in the morning.

It’s somewhat ironic that the same group supporting terrorists in Gaza is now terrorizing a member of Congress back home in the United States. This has become something of a knee-jerk reaction on the left in the current era. No one is trying to deny them the right to go out in front of the Capitol or any other government building and express their views, no matter how horrific those views might be. But leftists feel they have to personalize everything these days and do actual damage to those they disagree with, even if it’s one of their own.

You will recall the series of incidents a couple of years ago where mobs would show up at restaurants where Republicans were attempting to have dinner with their families or their staff and try to “drive them out.” That was all happening as part of the ongoing BLM riots. When people are out and about on private business or, even more to the point, when they are inside their homes, those are not appropriate venues for protests. It is, as I said, a form of terrorism. This is not a form of political speech. It’s harassment and sooner or later it will cross the line into physical violence.

It would be worthwhile to find out who published Thanedar’s home address and where that information was being passed around. Much like the “work” of Antifa and other violent leftist groups, an assembly such as this one doesn’t simply spring up spontaneously, particularly not at three in the morning. This was a planned attack and a lot of people had to have been conspiring to pull it off. You can already assume that some sort of online social media forum was involved.

You normally can’t get the Democrats in Washington to respond in any way when conservative speakers are harassed at colleges or political rallies. In fact, some of them go so far as to openly endorse such actions. You may recall how Maxine Waters was quick to tell the mobs that they needed to “get more confrontational.” (Be careful what you wish for.) But now that the mob has come for one of their own, perhaps their interest will finally be aroused. It would also be helpful to get local law enforcement more deeply involved. Most places have local noise ordinances in place. That mob was almost certainly violating any such laws. Tossing a few of them in jail might help get the message across and promote better behavior.
