Allahpundit asked if we had to talk about this episode. Answer: Hell yes, we do.  Say what you will about Trump, the man has mastered the art of attracting attention.  While other candidates in the field are seeking “political oxygen” with varying degrees of desperation, Trump’s just hanging in his plush Manhattan offices with a live bald eagle:

Team Trump surely knew that not only would this shoot produce a badass photo spread in Time, but the resulting video would be irresistible catnip for the 24-hour cable news networks. And so it has come to pass. I was asked about it today on Fox, resulting in what just might be the most important and insightful analysis I’ve ever offered on television:

“Keep in mind, the bald eagle is the classiest and most luxurious of eagles. Whereas other types of eagles — the lesser eagles, if you will — are losers and slobs.”

Yes, I just shamelessly quoted myself. The Donald would most certainly approve.  Ed and AP have each written about today’s swing state Q-poll, which is packed with ugly data points for Hillary Clinton (and quite a lot of good news for Marco Rubio).  It’s more of a mixed bag for Trump.  He maintains a strong lead in the GOP primary, besting John Kasich in Ohio, and both Rubio and Jeb in Florida.  But in a general election setting, Trump’s negatives are just as high as Hillary’s; of the Republican candidates polled, he performs worst against her…and loses to Biden in all three states.  As I noted earlier, these are your frontrunners, America:
