Has the tide begun to turn in the debate over sex-change therapies — especially among children? Adam Baldwin and I discuss the implications of a new “landmark study” from Denmark that undermines the “sex change or death” extortion of the transgender lobby. What does it mean when even the New York Times reports that the suicide rate among the transitioned in famously progressive Denmark is 3.5 time higher than the general public and that psychiatric diagnosis rates are seven times higher? This shows “the actual lived experience of those who have been victimized,” Adam says, “by those forcing them, coercing them, or brainwashing them into getting these procedures.”

Welcome back to our VIP video series “The Amiable Skeptics,” featuring my friend Adam Baldwin! Adam is well-known for his long and storied Hollywood career, starting with My Bodyguard, and especially for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, Firefly, its film sequel Serenity, Chuck, and The Last Ship.
It’s not as if the transgender activists can claim that this represents the outcomes of oppression or American puritanism either, I point out. “This is Denmark, right? Denmark has been very supportive of this. And this is data from people who have actually transitioned, not people who are wanting to transition but are somehow being prevented, but people who have actually gone through their transitions.” Over a 40-year period, researchers found that “forty-three percent have a correlated psychiatric diagnosis six times higher rate than the general population. [They] have a suicide attempt rate seven and a half times higher than the general population, and a suicide success rate three and a half times higher than the general population, and that’s among people who have transitioned.”
That exposes the “dead son or live daughter” claim for what it is — emotional blackmail and deadly manipulation. It’s another “thought terminating cliché,” Adam points out, that demonstrates how transgender activists and queer Marxists are “exploiting [patients] to further their Marxist goals, and don’t really care about them.”
Now these activists are trying even harder to separate children and teens from parents. One program offers counseling on how to go “no contact” with parents, which reminds both of us of cults. “That sounds familiar,” Adam says, “Maoism and Scientology.” “Exactly,” I reply, “it’s a cult and unfortunately it works.”
And this is why we talk and write about it, Adam and I say. “We’re talking about kids here, so the slippery slope is now,” Adam declares. “It’s gotten down to brainwashing kids and mutilating themselves for profit at hospitals and the normalization of pedophilia. It’s, it has, it has to be fought. This is, this is the hill to die on.”
