Walz: Executive Order #1 Was...

Tim Walz issued one executive order in his first month as governor of Minnesota.

One. No issue in the entire state of Minnesota rated this much attention, because Walz was addressing a desperate emergency in our state.

Minnesota, you see, didn't have a Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Council, and he needed to fix that. It was so high a priority for him that he made himself its chair in addition to establishing the council.

Our State must be a leader in ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to thrive. Disparities in Minnesota, including those based on race, geography, and economic status, keep our entire statefrom reaching its full potential. As long as inequities impact Minnesotans’ ability to besuccessful, we have work to do. Our state will recognize its full potential when all Minnesotansare provided the opportunity to lead healthy, fulfilled lives.

Diversity, inclusion, and equity are therefore essential core values and top priorities to achieveOne Minnesota.

For these reasons, I order that:

1. The One Minnesota Council on Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (“Council”) beestablished.

2. The Governor will serve as the Chair of the Council.

3. The Chief Inclusion Officer will serve as the Chair of the Council on behalf of the Governor.

4. The Governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Public Engagement and Outreach will serve as the Vice Chair of the Council.

5. The Council will be comprised of Commissioners from Cabinet Agencies as selected by the Governor.

6. The Council will invite participation by members of the public to ensure that voices from the community are included.

7. The Council should involve all of the Commissioners that comprise the Governor’s Cabinet in its work, as their visible strong leadership is critical to establishing and achieving the Council’s diversity, inclusion, and equity goals.

8. In consultation with State agencies, boards, and commissions, as well as external partners across Minnesota, the Council will establish goals and work collaboratively to address diversity, inclusion, and equity in State government practices, including recruiting; retaining and promoting state employees; state government contracting; and civic engagement.

9. The Council will work in consultation with State agencies, boards, and commissions,as well as external partners, to design, create, and implement effective, inclusive, and equitable practices for the State to address disparities and inequities in our  community.

10. The Council will develop a long-range plan to identify barriers to success, metrics for measuring progress, and recommendations to achieve the Council’s goals.

As you can see, Walz made this a whole of government approach, and unlike most politicians he has been following through. Racial preferences have expanded into every bit of government. Even when treating a disease like COVID, being "BIPOC" puts you at the front of the line in getting treatment.

Walz, as I have written, initially celebrated the George Floyd riots because they were an "exciting" part of the racial reckoning Minnesota and the nation needed. He literally said that in a press conference, because Tim Walz is a devotee of Critical Race Theory.

As I wrote earlier today, the problem with Walz is not that he is an avuncular moderate who will appeal to the rubes who live in flyover land. The problem is that he is a nasty socialist who is even more radical than Bernie Sanders, who as a member of the old Left has not been steeped in woke his entire life.

Walz is, and I mean this quite literally, farther to the left than Bernie Sanders. Sanders, at least, is an old-style socialist. Walz is dedicated to wokeness.

Walz makes no bones about his attachment to urban liberalism. He babbles in public about his rural sensibilities, wears flannel and Carhartt jackets, but he is not a fan of rural folks and says so when speaking to his liberal funders.

His contempt for the rural people is palpable, and the favor is returned here in Minnesota. Walz is staggeringly unpopular outside the Twin Cities metro area, and once the shine wears off people will see it.

Of course we can't count on people discovering Walz's radicalism. Trump and conservatives will have to get the message out. We are going to be competing with a massive mainstream media campaign the likes of which we have never seen. Every single tool the left has,  including Big Tech, Hollywood, the mainstream media, and the intelligence community will put a Herculean effort into carrying the Harris/Walz ticket over the finish line.

But the message doesn't require massaging inconvenient facts. It just requires showing people who Walz is. He is a DEI-obsessed, rural hating socialist and proud of it.
