Biden: Another $10 Billion for Iran? Sure, Why Not?

Iran proxies have attacked the US in the Middle East dozens of times over the past month, have committed atrocities in Israel, and are desperately trying to spark a regional war.

In thanks Joe Biden has offered them another $10 billion.

Seems on brand. Biden is the man, after all, who manages to take a stable situation and make it bad, then take a bad situation and make it worse. Since he hasn’t sparked World War III yet, he obviously has yet to exert enough effort. Just wait though. He will cause more disasters.

It is what he does, and he does it well.

The Biden administration on Tuesday reapproved a sanctions waiver that will allow Iran to access upward of $10 billion in frozen assets, the State Department confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon.

The sanctions waiver, which was set to expire today after first being authorized for a period of 120 days in July, allows Iraq to pay Iran for multibillion-dollar electricity purchases. This is the first time the Biden administration has renewed the waiver since the Iran-backed terror group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel that was reported to have been planned with Tehran’s support.

Renewal of the waiver “allows Iraq to use its own funds to render payment for Iranian electricity imports into restricted Iranian accounts in Iraq,” a State Department official told the Free Beacon, speaking only on background. “These restricted funds can only be used for humanitarian and other non-sanctionable transactions.”

“Can be used for humanitarian and other non-sanctionable transactions.”

Oh, OK. It’s not like money is fungible, freeing up resources to pour into Gaza and to all those militias attacking US assets in the region.

Critics, however, see the sanctions waiver as proof that the administration is maintaining Tehran’s financial channels, even after it provided Hamas with the resources necessary to slaughter more than 1,200 Israelis and take hostage many others, including Americans.

“The White House just responded to October 7th with a $10 billion reward,” Richard Goldberg, a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and sanctions expert who served on the White House National Security Council, told the Free Beacon. “Congress needs to act quickly to cut off Iran’s access to every penny.”

This is the most bats**t crazy thing Biden has done since, I don’t know, a week or two ago… It’s hard to keep up.

Biden has been trying to cozy up to Iran since he got into office, following the old Obama strategy of helping your enemies and harming your friends. The idea seems to be that if we help our enemies enough they will finally see what great guys we are and quit chanting “Death to America” and killing people.

Yeah, well, it doesn’t work that way. When you have a disagreement with your friends, you appease them. When you have a disagreement with your enemies, you threaten them. Simple. Help your friends, harm your enemies. It is the way of the world.

Biden has been showering Iran wish cash for years now, and things only get worse.

Two days ago the Wall Street Journal confirmed what we all suspected: the Hamas terrorists who committed all those atrocities trained in Iran just before the attacks. They raped, murdered, and mutilated people, including Americans, some of whom are still being held hostage.

So Biden thinks it’s a good idea to reward them with billions? Didn’t he just do that in order to get some hostages back, and now there are lots more of them being held by Iran proxy Hamas? You get more of what you pay for, and behold! More hostages!

There are no words for just how awful Joe Biden is at being president. I cannot think of a single thing he has made better either here at home or around the world.

Biden is meeting with Xi Jinping in San Francisco. Expect to hear that he is gifting 3 aircraft carriers to Xi.

Maybe then China will leave Taiwan alone.
