Minnesota AG trying to ruin Dr Scott Jensen to punish him for running for governor

The process is the punishment.

Scott Jensen, the former Republican candidate for governor of Minnesota, is an award-winning family doctor. He has been treating patients for S and has taught at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

He also became a dissenter from the COVID narrative and has suffered repeated attacks on his license to practice medicine for entirely political reasons.

How do I know the attacks are pure political theater? So far he has been forced to defend his medical license 4 times, based upon complaints that have nothing to do with his medical practice, but rather based upon claims that he spread “misinformation” about COVID and the “vaccines.” (I put vaccine in quotes because it doesn’t actually vaccinate people against getting COVID, but rather serves as a pre-treatment for people who catch the disease, which is not the traditional role of vaccines.)

In other words, he is being punished for his speech and his analysis. And given that his skepticism regarding the wisdom of using the vaccine is shared by many doctors and researchers, he is clearly not a quack).

The first investigation was initiated after he announced his run for governor. Quite the coincidence.

Each of the 4 investigations was dismissed by the Board of Medical Practice. Now Jensen faces a 5th investigation, this time led by the radical Attorney General of Minnesota, Keith Ellison.

This is a pretty bold move, and not a usual one at all. And as with the other investigations the accusations have to do with his sharing his opinions regarding the COVID vaccine, not with the quality of his medical practice. He is literally being harassed for having and sharing opinions that diverge from the narrative that Ellison wants to be enforced.

I am not a doctor nor a medical researcher, so while I have opinions and suspicions regarding the wisdom of using the “vaccines,” especially for some populations, I don’t pretend my opinion is authoritative. But then again, neither is Attorney General Ellison’s who is a lawyer.

And, frankly, the medical and public health establishment has not covered itself in glory during the pandemic, contradicting itself regularly and destroying its credibility.

I may not know vaccines, but I know politics and how to make a judgment regarding whether somebody is gaslighting me, and the public health establishment has been for over 2 years.

Clearly there are legitimate disputes about the wisdom of universal vaccination of the population against COVID, including whether they do more harm than good in vast swathes of the population. Both safety and efficacy are in question, with researchers directly questioning the wisdom of using the vaccines at all. These aren’t cranks. The Cleveland Clinic did a study demonstrating that the more vaccine doses a person gets, the higher the likelihood a person is to get COVID. This is not the behavior of traditional vaccines. So their efficacy is in dispute.

Safety too is a big question mark. Lots of people, including the inventor of mRNA vaccines, question the safety of mRNA vaccines. Just yesterday another researcher, this time from MIT, called for stopping the vaccine program due to safety concerns. There are lots of examples of public health officials who have become dissenters from conventional wisdom, and they are speaking up.

So Dr. Jensen is hardly alone. And has always been the case, there is a wide range of opinions regarding diagnoses and treatments for many diseases, not just COVID. “Consensus” in science is and always has been a myth, as it should be when there isn’t definitive proof of a fact and interpretation.

Yet the Attorney General of the State of Minnesota has taken it upon himself to step up the harassment of Dr. Jensen based upon already adjudicated charges that should never have been brought in the first place. It is disgraceful and can be explained by nothing other than politics.

It is a political hit job–punishment not for what he has done, or even said, but for who he is. A well-respected Republican who dared to challenge Tim Walz in the last election. They are sending a message that taking on the Democrat establishment will ruin your life.

I said above that the process is the punishment. At some point, the determination that he may continue to conduct medicine will not exonerate him, nor return the time, effort, and money that he has to spend to defend himself. They have turned him into a doctor who has faced 5 investigations. How many potential patients will avoid him for that alone? Countless.

No matter how bogus the charges are, the punishment has taken place simply by making the charges and forcing him to defend himself.

Politics ain’t beanbag, and it is usual for people in the midst of campaigns to hurl charges at each other. But this goes way beyond that. They are mobilizing all the power of the state to destroy Jensen.

This is what tyranny looks like in America.
