Hard to imagine a clearer sign that Fox News’s news division and its opinion/infotainment division really are, for all intents and purposes, two separate networks sharing studio space.

Here’s our answer to the question I asked in the earlier post about whether Fox’s retraction means Hannity will need to back off this story on his show:

“All you in the liberal media, I am not Fox.com or FoxNews.com, I retracted nothing,” Hannity said on his radio show Tuesday afternoon.

“For those accusing me of pushing a conspiracy theory, you are the biggest phony hypocrites in the world,” he said…

“If in fact, take Seth out of it, there was a whistleblower within the DNC, a truth-teller that actually was the source for WikiLeaks, and not Russia working with the Trump campaign, these are questions that I have a moral obligation to ask and I will do the mainstream media’s job like I have most of my career,” Hannity said.

The test of “truth” here seems to be Kim Dotcom versus the FBI, Washington P.D., and by extension the Jeff-Sessions-led Trump DOJ, which surely could sniff out a high-level cover-up of Rich’s murder if it suspected one. Even Hannity’s pal Julian Assange refuses to flatly say that Rich provided them with the DNC emails. All he’ll allow is that he didn’t get them from the Russian government. Which is true, even according to U.S. intelligence: Russia uses go-betweens to feed hacked material to Wikileaks. And our guys know their guys’ names, or so they say.

Mediaite has the full 10-minute clip of Hannity ranting about Rich and Wikileaks on the radio today but the part below is the key bit. Tonight’s 10 p.m. hour on Fox should be lit, as the kids say. Exit quotation via John Podhoretz: “Seth Rich’s murder is being used as counter-programming.”
