To cleanse the palate, I liked the teaser trailers last summer, I liked the first official trailer last winter, and I like this. Finally we get a glimpse of the inner life of a messiah, a god-man who must decide if he’s willing to play savior for a planet full of lesser beings. Who among us can know what that’s like? Except Barack Obama, I mean.

I make no promises, but this might, might, end up being the first superhero movie since Burton’s Batman that I see in the theater. Good lord. What am I becoming?
