Promises = Threats, Brandon Johnson Edition: 'Gonna Transform This City Whether You're With Us or Not'

Most people trapped in Chicago, if they could, would raise their hands for the "We're NOT" door.

And hope it was an exit the hell outta town that opened. Or maybe a vortex that sucked the mayor through into another dimension.

Either would work.

All most Chicagoans know is the idiot that THEY ELECTED - they brought this on themselves, 100% - is turning out to be a worse nightmare than anything they could have ever imagined.

This week is only two days old, and if you're Brandon Johnson, Mayor of Chicago, it's major suckage already.

It started yesterday as a sweet grandmotherly type, attending the city council meeting, proceeded to take Hizzoner to school, chapter, and literally legal verse, over his harboring of illegal aliens.

And, bless her heart, she used the term 'aliens' as she reamed the lad thoroughly. Insult to injury, she invoked the name of Tom Homan.

..."You're not going to exist for the next election because there's a 10-year prison sentence..."

She started by quoting federal law better than any immigration lawyer. Homan's consistent media appearances are inspiring boldness in the people.

A successful deportation operation will be written on Trump's legacy as one of his most significant achievements.

Woosh. We need a bucket truck to put that fire out.

But people were just warming up. One of the next citizens to the mic was an equally well-spoken, equally incensed young woman who laid out her case against Mayor Johnson with cold-eyed, deadly seriousness.

Basically, 'You suck, buddy, and lemme lay out the reasons why.'

Since she was younger and feisty, Johnson didn't have to pretend he had any manners or any responsibility to answer to his citizens, so he had her mic cut off.

WHY IS EVERYBODY ALWAYS PICKIN' ON ME?

Sadly for the mayor, he couldn't shut everyone down. Man, he's got them fired up that he's still after that $60M property tax hike, all to handle the illegal problem his sanctuary status created.

Residents of Chicago are blasting Mayor Brandon Johnson over the city spending more than half a billion dollars on sheltering migrants, with one telling the Democrat to his face during a City Council meeting that he’s the “worst mayor in America.”

The criticism surrounding Johnson and Chicago’s New Arrivals Mission – which so far has cost the city $574.5 million since its inception in August 2022 – comes as the mayor is trying to overcome a $1 billion budget shortfall by the end of the year. The City Council held a meeting Monday during which residents voiced their opposition to an approximately $60 million property tax increase floated as one way to help close the gap.

...“I like to make clear that not everyone is the same. These people came with a wide door open, and they feel entitled to many things that nobody has. There are U.S. citizens suffering from poverty,” she said. “There are U.S. citizens on public aid, and these people are here just enjoying the benefits, becoming delinquents, and they have no consequences.”

At one point in the meeting, a resident asked Johnson for his “undivided attention.”

“So this just proves to you the lack of leadership that you show in this city. You can’t even give me straight eye contact,” he said. “Now I’m going to let you know now, the people of Chicago, we’re done with you.

Today's very public tussle and Johnson meltdown - and, yes, there was one - happened over an issue that's been simmering for a while and that I wrote about at the beginning of October. Back then Johnson, the ultimate teacher's union stooge, wanted the entire Chicago Board of Education to vote to fire the CEO of Chicago Public Schools, a guy named Pedro Martinez.

Why, you ask?

Because Mr Martinez refused to sign off on a $300M payday loan, the teachers' union wanted that would cover paying for all their current contract demands.

Oh. Hello.

Not only did the board refuse even to pressure the man to resign, but it also refused to fire him; the entire school board said they would resign en masse if Johnson insisted on something so insanely irresponsible.

He can be such an unhinged loon.

...People are losing their collective cookies across the city while Johnson ups the rhetoric.

...But Johnson insists naming new board members is what’s best, as CPS prepares to transition to a larger, partially-elected School Board in January.

I’m leading. I’m in charge,” Johnson said. “They elected a parent. I understand that anxiety, because I’m a parent.

“… The people that oppose my vision, they want to create more anxiety.”

...Alders also criticized Johnson’s efforts to take out a high-interest loan to pay for a new Chicago Teachers Union contract and other costs.

Taking out a $300 million high-interest payday loan is not a smart decision when CPS is already facing a massive deficit and the city an almost $1 billion deficit,” the letter, in part, said. “With COVID-relief funds having recently expired for CPS, it is crucial that CPS leaders keep the interests of taxpayers and our children top of mind as they make budget decisions that will impact the District for decades to come.”

The sad thing is, when the board righteously resigned back in October, they left it open for Johnson to appoint all his own toady board members.

Guess where Chicago is today?

On the cusp of firing the one guy between the teachers' union and a $300M extortionary rate 'loan' to pay off a union.

And the city's chief executive is in the midst of yet another public HOW DARE YOU meltdown for being questioned about it.

Good.

LORD

There it is.

Humpty Dumpty may not even have to fall off the wall to be so bad they can't put him back together again.

I can't imagine what will happen if he starts having Kash Patel nightmares.

Could be really bad in that town again.
