Gavin Newsom's dystopian hellhole now becomes a place where the state literally and figuratively owns your children and parents must do the state's bidding as far as raising them.

...A parent must also serve a child’s emotional and physical needs and protect the child from abuse. Most parents are pretty clear on all of this.

But the added layer of government interference into the parent-child relationship is disturbing, and legally dubious.

The California Legislature continues to try to replace parents with school counselors, teachers, mental health providers, abortion providers, “gender-affirming” trans care specialists, or any number of adults willing to give vaccines, feed kids drugs, provide opposite-sex hormones, authorize gender surgeries, and get them treatment for sexual violence and rape – without a parent being any the wiser.

AB 1955 has a whole host of problematic issues including violating mandatory school reporting requirements, and enables really messed up parents who not only allow a child to “transition” to the opposite sex, some parents actually promote the transitioning to the child. And this bill manages to identify and target parents who would not be supportive of the transitioning of their child to the opposite sex.

The discussion in the CA legislature, as this monstrosity made its way through the legal process, was itself a nightmare. These advocates for destroying children's lives and the nuclear family are lunatics.

...The [Sacramento] Bee is explaining — or “explaining” — what happened on the floor of the state Assembly, when a Republican was not permitted to argue against a bill, and a Democrat stood up to threaten him for trying. I encourage you to read the whole self-refuting thing. What happened, it turns out, is that the Republican was preventing debate by engaging in debate, which meant that he had to be silenced and threatened so debate could continue, which required that no one express opposing views, which is an act of anti-debate aggression. Debate is agreement, and not agreeing is preventing debate.

The “forced outing” debate was a discussion about AB 1955, which proposes to forbid schools to inform parents of discussions between children and school officials about sexual orientation and sexual behavior. It’s important that parents not be told about sexually themed discussions happening between children and the adults in their schools, because not telling mommy and daddy about sexual discussions is being safe and warm. But watch the casual turn of logic in the last paragraph of this screenshot:

1. Evan Low said the bill is important because it’s good that parents not be told, and the bill makes sure parents aren’t told.
2. Sabrina Cervantes said she didn’t have this bill when she was young, which would have forbidden telling, so someone told.
3. Democrats explained that the bill is not meant to keep secrets from parents.

See, AB 1955 isn’t about keeping secrets from parents — it’s about not allowing schools to tell parents. Not being allowed to tell parents is different than keeping secrets from parents. The story doesn’t go on to explain the distinction between keeping secrets and not telling, but under Jacobin cultural rules, the distinction is that shut up. The distinction is presumptive, and so doesn’t require explanation.

And you can't, right? Because no sane person has even the first clue what they're trying to rationalize into legislation. This entire exchange is the lady in the green beanie screaming into the void after Hillary lost - it makes that much sense.

"These are OUR kids" said AB1955 co-sponsor, notorious LGBwhatever radical and CA state senator Scott Weiner. 

"We need to lift them up."

He has always seemed really stable.

...Senator Scott Wiener, an LGBTQ Caucus member, was slightly more blunt when explaining why he supports AB 1955. Speaking at a Pride Month ceremony in San Francisco, he addressed the issue of children coming out to their parents. He stated, “That’s our decision and no one else’s damn business. We are going to make that clear in the law in the state of California.”

What happens to parents and who protects their children from a state bureaucracy with a raging case of Munchausen by Proxy?

Some employers aren't waiting for their employees to quit and migrate out of state to find safe places for their families to be raised, CA wages be damned. 

Certain big-time CA businesses are saying Newsom's signature on this abomination was the last straw for them, and they are pulling chocks - lock, stock, and barrel.

I don't know what the net effect of just out-migration of Musk assets and employees will be, and Newsom will be well shut of the governor's chair long before the state implodes. But this still has to sting.

CA is fast running out of available pockets to pick for cash to keep the figurative lights on - we already know they can't keep the real ones glowing - and every employer and their workers chased out either by taxes or social policies leaves fewer productive individuals to shoulder the collective burden.

A lot of sane people, madly in love with California, are breaking their addictions to California.
