85,000 'Lost' Unaccompanied Migrant Children

Biden's open border has allowed 345,000+ unaccompanied minors to cross into the United States.

And by "unaccompanied," they really mean, "NO ONE is with these kids." They make it by the grace of God, the kindness of strangers...

...and through the evil intentions of child traffickers. To their eternal shame, Joe Biden and his vile minion Mayorkas have exempted these poor kids from the faux border EO recently released.

Yeah, pal. We see that open, transparent honesty on your face.

So far, it's costing over $5B a year just to take care of the kids coming across the border alone and I would think taking care of children would be a priority for an administration and a party that demonized the Trump administration for "CHILDREN IN CAGES." Wouldn't you?

Assisting migrant families and unaccompanied children refugees has cost the federal government over $20 billion during the past two fiscal years, according to a new report.

...This included over $5.5 billion each year to assist unaccompanied migrant children.

Those Trump cages would seem like a suite at the Hilton to Biden border kids, who are now, if they're lucky, packed into an overcrowded one a bazillion times larger in Texas, or living in open-air camps so wretched that a federal judge stepped in this past April to tell DHS to get those kids out of the desert.

The compassionate and competent adults in charge at DHS said, "Well, they're technically not our problem yet, so we shouldn't hafta."

The federal government is required to “expeditiously” house migrant children who cross into the United States unlawfully, rather than allow them to remain in unsafe open-air sites along the border, a Federal District Court judge ruled Wednesday night.

...So far the open air encampments are only in California but the language in the order was not limited to the state, so if similar camps arise in other border states, the ruling would likely apply.

...During the hot desert days, dehydration and heat stroke have become common problems, according to aid groups, and nighttime temperatures, wind and rain are creating conditions ripe for hypothermia. Doctors are particularly concerned about those elements for children, since many have lower body fat than adults and may be malnourished from their journeys.

The government had argued that the children were not yet in U.S. custody so it had no obligation to provide services. The judge cited Border Patrol agents’ control over the minors’ ability to leave the sites — and their power to affect whether the children have access to aid and medical treatment — as the rationale for her ruling.

There's also the gut-wrenching problem of "lost" kids. Biden's DHS has lost - LOST, mind you - some 85,000+ of these children.

Poof. Gone. Where's Wilmer?

In the video, you'll see Anthony Rubin from Muckraker explaining how his organization got a list of 8500 addresses to which DHS had released unaccompanied minor migrant kids. He started checking out the ones on the list physically that the government claimed were residences and it wasn't two shakes before things were horribly hinky.

The government allegedly delivered "two children to a sponsor who lives at this address."

Who was it? Norman Bates?

The recent congressional testimony of Robin Dunn Marcos, Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and endangered migrant children was horrific.

  • The ORR director couldn’t answer questions about reports that show HHS has lost contact with more than 85,000 migrant children in the past two years.
  • Two-thirds of all UAC that leave HHS’s care work illegal, full time jobs, often in factories and in hazardous conditions.
  • Caseworkers within ORR claim that HHS regularly ignored obvious signs of labor exploitation, such as single sponsors sponsoring multiple UAC, “hot spots” in the country where many UAC sponsors are not the children’s parents, UAC with significant debts, and direct reports of trafficking.
  • “We’ve heard stories – I’ve been to the border seven or eight times – and heard the stories directly from people who are federal agents and others who’ve said it is very routine that a person was put with an older person, and then they found out that that was not even their family,” Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) said during the hearing.
  • During the hearing, ORR director admitted that only slightly more than a third of UAC’s end up with a parent. “In this fiscal year, I believe 37 percent of children end up with their parent.”

The contrast between this disastrous, truly inhumane Biden border catastrophe for these children and the Trump years is stunning in its hypocrisy and media silence.

I mean, take AOC - PLEASE! That braindead chica went - dressed for effect like a martyred Cuban 'Woman in White' - from weeping in a staged melodrama during the Trump years to...whatever the flock this is.

And where's the viciousness they spewed at Trump? What made me really think of it was stumbling across an old post of mine last night after watching Rubin on Jesse Watters. One of those things that was meant to happen, I guess.

Years ago, I was lucky enough to write for The Victory Girls Blog for a couple of months before having to work full-time ate into my brain indulgence. One of those posts that popped up last night. It was about an absolutely beautiful Mother's Day picture Ivanka Trump posted in May 2018.

And how it was torturing immigrant parents. I Schlitz you not.

The Left went ape-Schlitz.

...Get where the Left appeared out of when they noticed Sunday’s picture on Monday? No? Lemme help:

But on Sunday, she sparked backlash by sharing a photo of herself holding her two-year-old son, Theodore.

Some Twitter users labelled the image “offensive”, amid reports that hundreds of migrant children have been removed from their parents by US border agents.

The storm surrounding family separations by immigration authorities has been brewing for several months.

Yes. A mother and child picture is “offensive.” “Cuddling” your son is offensive…and tone deaf:

Ivanka Trump is facing an online backlash for tweeting what one critic called a “tone deaf” photo of herself cuddling her son as outrage grows over a federal government policy to separate the children of undocumented migrants from their parents.

Even the Palestinians got in on the Trump Momma and baby bashing. I'm not kidding.

...It’s hard to know how they could ratchet up the baby-snatching rhetoric, but dang if the Haaretz didn’t give it their best shot Monday afternoon, managing to tie not ONLY illegal immigrants into it, but the PALESTINIANS as well!

From Gaza Deaths to Migrant Children: Ivanka Trump Slammed For Being ‘Tone-Deaf’ to Humanitarian Crises

Already criticized for her role in the inauguration of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, Ivanka Trump sparks outrage by posting cozy family pic while immigrant children being separated from parents under new policy

And these sorts of reports were what kept Trump-loving CNN afloat at the time.

YOWSAHS

It just seems so odd we don't hear a peep now.

During the last year of the Trump administration's active efforts to secure the border and shut down the human flow across it, they'd gotten the unaccompanied minors number to 15,381 kids in 2020. Through end FY 2023, Biden has 370,573, of whom they've lost over a quarter, and there's no telling what the numbers for 2024 will be.

Yet neither AOC nor any of the KIDS IN CAGES songbirds from the Democratic debate stage have put their pearly whites back on, grabbed a box of hankies, and headed south to weep for the children. Nor has any mainstream media outfit asked them why they have not.

All the breast-beating, wailing, and Trump-bashing at the moment are directed at the threat of sending illegals back and canceling The View.

But the kids?

Somebody would have to care enough to find them first.
