…but here we are.

Special Counsel Robert Hur will not file charges related to the mishandling of classified documents at two locations associated with President Joe Biden, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing sources.

However, in a shocking departure from anything connected with investigations related to the Biden Crime Family, sources say the Special Counsel’s final report will…use harsh language.

I guess we have to take what we can get at this point?

The Justice Department’s special counsel investigating how President Joe Biden handled Obama-era classified materials is expected to release his final report in the coming months, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, which is likely to include “harsh criticism” of the president—but is not expected to result in any criminal charges being brought.

I can’t imagine why Trump and his team would be apoplectic. They should be used to this crap.

…Trump’s supporters have accused the Justice Department of a double standard in treatment. Biden’s supporters have pointed to the president’s legal team’s cooperation and swift moves to inform the National Archives of the documents’ discovery as a key difference.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation obtained a warrant to search Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Fla., in August 2022 after more than a year of negotiations between Trump’s lawyers, the National Archives and later the Justice Department, and after Trump’s lawyers said all documents had been returned. Trump has been charged with improperly withholding classified documents and obstructing justice by allegedly trying to have surveillance footage deleted that revealed how some of the documents were being handled. He has pleaded not guilty.

From the outset of Hur’s investigation, it appeared criminal charges against Biden or his aides would be unlikely.

…With the cooperation of Biden’s personal legal team, the FBI searched the Penn Biden Center shortly after Nov. 2 of last year, when Biden aides found classified material there and surrendered it to the National Archives. Agents later also searched Biden’s homes in Rehoboth Beach, Del., and Wilmington, Del., where they turned up further classified documents. Some of the items found contained handwritten notes that investigators were scrutinizing.

What a crock.

When I posted about this back in April the Biden team had paperwork coming out of cubbyholes scattered all over Washington. And they hadn’t just been laying dormant and safely locked up in these various hidey holes. They’d been moved around more than once, and not by anyone cleared by security agencies or the National Archives to be picking up boxes with classified materials, either.

…Except…that genie’s out of the Biden bottle and, whoa, boy. Thanks to the dogged, thorough work of Reps. James Comer and Jim Jordan, POTATUS has got some ‘splainin’ to do.

“The documents were moved from the vice-presidency to at least three different locations in a personal vehicle. And why they were in three different locations we don’t know. They weren’t stored behind any lock. One of the locations was in Chinatown.

Biden stashed classified documents in Chinatown and had his ex-assistant do the dirty work for him. Joe ordered the Trump raid, knowing he had documents spread-eagled all over Chinatown & his unlocked garage. Justice is busy doing CYA for this abomination – GOD, I use that word a lot around these people – but there’s no fire blanket thick enough to smother this stench.

…Hur appears to have been meticulous in talking to anyone who would have been close to the classified material, in part because of his awareness that his report will be heavily scrutinized across the political spectrum.

“Everyone will tear it apart for their own purposes. You don’t want to backtrack later. So you have to go through it sentence by sentence,” said Andrew Lelling, who was the U.S. attorney in Boston during the Trump administration while Hur held the same post in Maryland.

Yeah, okay.

The only thing left is Comer and Jordan still digging into what they have and the pushback will intensify now that the absolving wand of Justice has been waved over the boxes in the garage…and Chinatown…and the Penn-Biden Center…and God knows where else. Hunter’s bathroom for all we know.

And that’s all we’ll ever know.

There are plenty of words for how much I despise these criminals…but I like this gig.
