She’s being mis-interpreted and targeted.
Or something.
The arch Jew-hater of the House of Representatives – and believe me, that sobriquet takes some doing to earn with all the contenders there – has been called on the congressional censure carpet again today. Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Green reintroduced a revised version of her failed censure resolution from last week and Rep. Rick McCormick, also of Georgia, introduced one as well.
Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rich McCormick, both from Georgia, introduced their censure measures as privileged resolutions, meaning the House leadership must decide within two legislative days whether to shelve the motions or submit them to a floor vote.
…Tlaib again inspired bipartisan criticism over the weekend when she posted another video on X, this one blasting President Joe Biden for supporting “the genocide of the Palestinian people.” It also included footage of demonstrators chanting, “from the river to the sea,” which the Anti-Defamation League points to as antisemitic.
In her second censure motion, Greene has dropped the word “insurrectionists” but still accuses Tlaib of “hating America” and demands that she present herself in the well of the House for the “pronouncement of censure.”
McCormick’s measure, meanwhile, accuses Tlaib of “promoting false narratives regarding the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and for calling for the destruction of the state of Israel” but does not require her to present herself in the well of the House, The Hill reported.
“It’s imperative that we address these concerns promptly and judiciously, which is why we believe that the best course of action is to move forward with censuring Representative Tlaib in a way that holds her accountable while ensuring the First Amendment is protected,” McCormick said in a statement. “This is what I have done and will continue to do.”
This was McCormick yesterday afternoon as he started the censure ball rolling.

Green lit off the proceedings today on probably one of the most deserving targets of public scorn and derision I’ve ever had the misfortune to witness in public office.

I hope they verbally crucify her, even if they can come to an accord on a vote.
Let. It. Rip.
The first GOP congressman to waffle on the revised resolution is Ken Buck of Alabama COLORADO. “Now is not the time”? What revolting, Jew-hating, spite-filled thing does the vile creature have to say to make it “THE TIME” for you to say “by God, that’s enough,” sir?

Green’s revised verbiage (Roy and Massie objected to ‘insurrectionists’) and Tlaib’s disgusting intransigence and truly sorry asterisk covering sure sounds as if they’ve overcome Roy’s previous objections. Has Chip Roy’s mind changed? I imagine it could also be that the calls to his office he got didn’t hurt, either. I’ll lay money there were more than a couple.
"[Rep. Tlaib] CANNOT, as a member of Congress, be standing up and telling the world that what we saw unfold in attacking Israel is justified."

The parade of disgusting, craven, out-of-their-minds Democratic defenders is entertaining in a trainwreck kind of way.
Cori Bush just went on what is probably the most unhinged rant I've ever seen in Congress on the censure resolution of Rashida Tlaib.

Debbie Dingell says they should leave Tlaib alone because she’s the only one speaking for the terrorists.
“Her voice matters. She is the only Palestinian American in Congress … Her perspective reflects many that she represents — especially when it’s not twisted!”

Michigan has to be so proud!
Not to cut any anti-Semitic, brother-marrying, immigration fraud expert Somalis out of it, they let Squad member Ilhan Omar run her chops, too.
Fair is fair. Jew hating Socialists is a big tent.
This Ilhan Omar speech is bad even for her… pic.twitter.com/MO6JNPYlU8

A couple Democrats have displayed intestinal fortitude…
Democrat Jared Moskowitz, who voted for Dems’ motion to table, says he’ll vote YES on final passage of the Tlaib censure.
“I don’t think it’s productive,” he says of the back-and-forth censures, “But I also don’t think calling for the removal of an entire country is productive.” https://t.co/vtlVYP1daI

…and shame on those who won’t speak up, especially Jewish members.
The question is how many spineless Republicans won’t vote for it?

Then the main attraction got up to defend herself saying the indefensible and momentarily choked herself up. The overwrought and emotionally frai…just kidding.
Tlaib paused for effect and gulped, earning some sister love from the woman who married her brother and cheered 9/11.
Oppressed BIPOC girl supporting oppressed POC girl.
And then Tlaib proceeded to rattle off the remainder of her bitchy, flat-out lying talking points like nothing had happened. A Crisis Actor School graduate certificate holder there, for sure.
JUST IN: Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib starts crying on the House floor and needs Ilhan Omar to comfort her as the House votes to censure her for her anti-Israel comments.
“I can't believe I have to say this, but pa…Palestinian people are not disposable.”

She is repellent and nauseating.
But all the faux sniffling was faux naught, because McCormick’s censure resolution moved forward, after the attempt to block it failed. Only 6 squish Republicans voted against it.
…Tlaib of Michigan, who is the first Palestinian-American woman to serve in Congress, is again facing Republican-led efforts to censure her over comments critical of Israel and in support of Palestinians amid Israel’s war against Hamas.
The resolution that advanced Tuesday was introduced by Georgia GOP Rep. Rich McCormick. The vote was 208 to 213 with six Republicans joining with Democrats to table the measure and one Democrat voting against the motion to table. On Tuesday evening, the House is also expected to consider a second censure resolution against Tlaib from Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Tlaib has defended herself against the censure attempts, arguing that they are an effort to silence her and saying that her “colleagues have resorted to distorting my positions in resolutions filled with obvious lies.”
Following the vote to advance the censure resolution, Tlaib delivered an emotional speech on the House floor and argued that her criticism of the Israeli government should not be conflated with antisemitism.
I still don’t have a read on a vote to advance Green’s yet, but McCormick’s was seen as the more specific and acceptable of the two.
…After the House voted to block a resolution from Greene to censure Tlaib last week, Greene put forward a new version of the resolution that drops a reference to a pro-Palestinian protest at the Capitol as an “insurrection,” which had made some Republicans uncomfortable. But McCormick’s resolution is expected to have more support from Republicans because the language is narrower and more tailored to recent events.
Frankly, I don’t care who or how they nail Tlaib – just that they do.
UPDATE: Well, it’s official. The vicious, repulsive, hate-filled, terrorist loving viper has been sanctioned publicly. SHAME on anyone who stood up to make excuses for her.
