Why does Elie Mystal get a hateful racist pass?

I’m serious.

I thought words were violence to this crowd.

Where does this guy get off saying the things he says over and over, ratcheting up the crazy and vitriol, and collect a paycheck for appearances? I know all about the hypocrisy factor, but Jemele Hill should be screaming her racist little head off that this MAN still has a running gig while she keeps getting booted to the curb for lesser sins of the same stripe.

You know you’ve gone too far with your foaming at the mouth when even David French calls you out, but what does Mystal do?

IT WAS A JOKE, ha ha, that no one got and OH, BY THE WAY DOBBS, DAVID, so take that.

Like an unhinged, racist version of PeeWee Herman’s “I know you are, but what am I?”

Mystal is *for* wishing death upon those whom he disagrees with, but *against* white people and anyone who thinks wishing death on a SCOTUS justice is in poor taste if not completely outrageous.

And such a snotty rejoinder from an adult when they’re so horribly in the wrong…GAWD it’s infuriating.

(Ed won’t let me say what I want to say…*snorting fire*)

Bop, bang, TO THE MOON, ELIE

What a revolting piece of poo the MSNBC stables should be shoveling out.

…Thus, multiple people criticized Mystal for wishing death on a Supreme Court Justice.

To that, Mystal says he was “joking.”

Joking about death, that is.

Mystal is a unique character. His malicious commentary stands out even at MSNBC, the home of Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow.

He made headlines last fall by calling then-Senate candidate Herschel Walker a GOP-owned “negro.”

Talk about racist, huh?

Mystal also warned viewers that Southern politicians are pushing to break away from the U.S. and take black people with them as slaves.

Talk about inciting hate, huh?

Although, to be fair with the smear about slavery, Joe Biden probably gave him the idea with that brilliant “They’re gonna put y’all back in chains” ad lib of his.

He’s also wonderfully creative at explaining SCOTUS cases so the simple-minded among us can understand. What a national treasure.

What a class act to lead law class. They even have this flamethrower on CSPAN, for crying out loud.

I don’t get it.

When he’s not spewing bile and foaming racial hate on whatever networks are cutting the check that week, he’s a “justice reporter” at The Nation. What kind of “reporting” is that?

Oh, “scared to go back into white world now that COVID’s over” sort of navel gazing reporting for one. I guess this is supposed to be a deeply introspective piece.

…To be clear, it’s not that most or even many of my interactions with white people are “bad”; it’s that I’m able to choose when to expose myself to interactions with potentially bad white people. That choice is a privilege I’ve never really had until this past year. Going out into white society for me is a little bit like a beekeeper going to get honey. I know what I’m doing: If I put on the right protection and blow enough smoke, most of the bees will leave me alone and the ones who don’t won’t really cause me that much pain. But I’ve got to put on the suit and the hat with the mesh and carry the smoke machine and be careful every time I want some goddamn honey. This year, it’s been like somebody said, “You know the honey comes in bottles now, right? You don’t have to risk being stung every time you want some food.”

It’s been a revelation, but it can’t last. With vaccination (I get my second shot next week) comes reentry into the larger society. I’ve been the “default” skin color in my personal life for a year, but as I open back up, I’ll be thrust again into a world where I’m treated like an “other,” one where white people feel empowered to just walk around like they own the place.

A weekend trip to CVS showed me that I’m not ready. I’m not ready to go back to accepting that, in a diverse and pluralistic society, some white people are allowed to just impose their implicit biases on the world, and the rest of us have to suck it up.

GAWD – he thinks he’s special. Get a grip rich, privileged, fragile black dude – CVS scares everybody.

It hard to outdo Joy Reid for the crazy hate, but he does it with verve and vigor, apparently unfettered by any restraints on his emoting. Even Whoopie Goldberg gets yanked back on the hate trip every now and then. She ought to point to this male scofflaw, too.

You’ll notice I haven’t used any pale hued skin types as examples commensurate with Mystal’s transgressions.

Because there aren’t any. And the few who’ve even whiffed perceptively near forbidden territory – come close to the imaginary, ever fluid red line – have been vamoosed so fast there was hardly more than a faint impression of them left for the cleaning staff to wipe off.

While the vile, repulsive, racist Mystal goes merrily along on his crazy hate way to his next appearance.

What a gig.
