Alrighty. Had to hit this – I HAD to.

There have been bucketloads of speculation about why Tucker got canned – did he get canned or quit? See? Nobody knows for sure, and Lord almighty, don’t they all have opinions?

Which, honestly, has been half the fun of this, besides watching Fox start smoking on its way to going down in flames – speculation is an American pastime and until the man himself speaks, well?

We’ll gleefully just keep at it!

Part of that speculative frenzy concerning the departure of the most popular guy on TV concerned the various lawsuits swirling around Fox News Corp. One – the Dominion voting machine thing – was settled for an astronomical amount of cha-ching days prior to Tucker leaving. There’s another voting machine company waiting in the wings to take their shot. Could the cumulative effect of those two be to blame?

Perhaps.

There’s also the matter of a disgruntled Tucker Carlson Tonight former employee, the previous head of booking, and producer Abby Grossberg. She’s filed a lawsuit alleging a “hostile and discriminatory work environment” which includes charges of sexism and anti-semitism. In interviews, she’s just-this-close to taking credit for getting Carlson (along with his longtime producer Alex McCaskill) fired.

Tucker Carlson is facing a lawsuit from his former head of booking, Abby Grossberg, who says she was subjected to a hostile and discriminatory work environment.

Ms. Grossberg, who was fired by Fox News shortly after she filed two lawsuits against the company in March, joined Mr. Carlson’s team in 2022 after several years as a senior producer for Maria Bartiromo, another Fox host.

Ms. Grossberg said in the lawsuit naming Mr. Carlson that male producers regularly used vulgarities to describe women and frequently made antisemitic jokes.

The boys were rude. There’s a shocker.

As a woman who spent 12 plus years in arguably the most exclusive men’s club in the world – most of that time in leadership positions – I wonder if she ever spoke up and said anything TO them, or if she just sat there steaming.

This is common.

I’ve obviously had my issues with the company regarding their compliance with the vaccine mandate. I can promise you if she was vocal and asked for a show transfer—they would have transferred her. She waited until she was fired to speak out

Well, huh.

Now, Ms. Morello (in the tweet above) is a former Fox employee who quit over the vaccine mandate, so I would take her comments throughout that thread with some belief in their veracity. As for how Ms. Grossberg handled what she found so offensive, I am leaning towards ‘kept her yap shut.’ That’s not how I’ve ever operated in situations like that, especially if I was in charge, as she supposedly was. Really strikes me as an inexcusably weak decision, particularly for someone bragging to Nicole Wallace how, with the Carlson promotion, she was the “team leader – actually 3 teams.” Not much “leading” at all nor many leadership skills in evidence so far.

As mentioned, Ms. Grossberg had previously worked on Maria Bartiromo’s show, so she wasn’t exactly a network ingenue in this environment nor with Fox itself. So, color me a cynic (OKAY, I AM), but I don’t think this little nugget of information she shares with a solicitously head-tilted Nicole Wallace paints her in a great “employee of the month” light.

Her surreptitious recordings are already causing a stir. I’m reading one of them is Sen. Ted Cruz talking about the presidential vote certification and the DoJ’s Special Counsel has subsequently asked for them to be turned over. As you’d imagine. the Left is in a complete, orgasmic swoon.

Grossberg claims Tucker and crew “broke her” which is a pretty heavy claim to make and she will have to prove it. But I have to admit, after hearing this, had I walked into an environment THAT hostile?

“…There are literally pictures, like [gestures big rectangles] this big, of Nancy Pelosi in a bathing suit in Europe plastered all over. Um, there’s even one on my computer screen or the temporary computer I had to use and I had to take it down…”

OMG. I wouldn’t have stayed to be broken.

In all seriousness – that picture of Nancy Pelosi breaks me to this day, just thinking of it. Cruel and unusual torture to subject anyone to that.

I’m telling you, pay her whatever she wants.
