As we learned yesterday, hot girls have problems, too. Kim Kardashian can’t solve her own, but she’d like to try to solve the problems of a city anyway. It’d be nice if we lived in a world in which “Kim Kardashian, mayor of Glendale” was not even a remote possibility — but, alas, we don’t live in such a world. Kardashian says she’s already looking into the requirements for a run “in like five years” — and, given the appetite for celebriticians (celebrity politicians) in California and across the country these days, it unfortunately doesn’t seem 100 percent implausible that the residents of Glendale would elect her.
Really, why not? She has money and time at her disposal. That’s all it takes, right? Plus, her election would mean reality TV viewers would obtain an inside look into the workings of city government. Could be good for the future not only of Glendale but of the entire country to awaken a sense of civic responsibility via reality TV.
All I’m saying is, take her seriously, guys … because, if you don’t, you just might wake up in a world in which Paris Hilton is the first female president of the United States.
