Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton emerged from her week-long seclusion to accept an honor from the Children’s Defense Fund in Washington DC Wednesday night. Clearly the event (which was scheduled and announced months ago) was expected to feature “President-elect Clinton” performing a victory lap at the non-profit organization where she began her career so many decades ago.
The American electorate changed that narrative thus resulting in a low-key, almost depressing affair:
Clinton: There were a few times this week "when all I wanted to was just to curl up…and never leave the house again" https://t.co/anYF50x6dx

Our friends at Twitchy have categorized some of the more entertaining and snarky responses to Hillary’s “curl-up” comment:

And some were feeling her pain:

However, probably the most notable response came from Bloomberg News correspondent Jennifer Epstein:
Hillary Clinton showed tonight, yet again, that she'll just keep going, no matter how devastating the setback https://t.co/0y6BEePDaE

That’s some hard-hitting analysis there, Bloomberg. Perhaps you should take the “News” out of your company’s name.
Hillary did leave her adoring and sorrowful audience with an upbeat message of sorts:
