Immigration expert explains how Obama is lying about his border record

The Obama Administration, along with their willing allies in the mainstream media, continue to perpetuate the deception that deportations under President Barack Obama are at their highest levels of all time.

Just look at the alarming language employed by The Hill in 2014:

Unless drastic action is taken in the last half of his term, Obama will be forever known as the man who deported more people than any other president in U.S. history. It is no wonder he has earned the moniker “Deporter-in-Chief.”

Then the administration ramped up the enforcement machinery, so much so that Obama set a record for numbers of deportations every year of his first term, including an astounding 409,849 individuals in 2012. Those of us working on the front lines of this issue were stunned, never expecting that someone we fought to get elected would betray our community so intensely. We never imagined that we would find ourselves fighting so hard against an Administration that pledged to be on our side.

It is an effective and disarming argument used by the Left whenever the debate over illegal immigration is engaged. After all, how could illegal immigration be in such dire straights and in need of radically new policies and serious enforcement of existing policies if President Obama has been such a champion of deportations?  The argument has silenced many an ill-prepared debater in the past. The only problem is: It’s a complete and total fabrication.

hosted a radio row in Washington DC. Talk radio hosts from all around the country gathered to focus their programming entirely on the illegal immigration issue which is shaping up to be one of the most defining issues of the 2016 presidential race.

I interviewed Mark Krikorian from Center for Immigration Studies on WMAL and he revealed that every single statistic connected to Obama’s deportation record has been manipulated for the sole purpose of deceiving the American people and keeping the truth about our broken and porous border from them:

And Obama himself, accidentally revealed this fact in 2011 while he was pandering to a largely Latino audience:

“The statistics are actually a little deceptive because what we’ve been doing is, with the stronger border enforcement, we’ve been apprehending folks at the borders and sending them back. That is counted as a deportation, even though they may have only been held for a day or 48 hours, sent back — that’s counted as a deportation.”

As the presidential race heats up and Republicans immigration policies are mischaracterized in the most draconian and deceptive ways, it’s important to share this information and educate voters in your immediate sphere who are not equipped to debate the obnoxious liberal loudmouth in the cubicle next to them.,

Let’s begin the critical national debate on our immigration policy from a position of facts and not propaganda. If we can, maybe conservatives will stand a fighting chance.
