Obama Was Right: ‘Don’t Underestimate Joe’s Ability To Mess Things Up’

You may or may not have noticed but President Biden has made his decision about the Israel-Hamas war. He prefers to save Hamas, when push comes to shove.

Biden made the announcement while the rest of the country was focused on the Trump trial travesty.

He made a rather discombobulated presentation of his vision for the way forward for the war. This is a war for the survival of Israel, our only loyal ally in the region. It is the only democracy in the neighborhood, complete with a duly elected government.

Biden is desperate to appease the Muslim Arab American voters in Dearborn, Michigan, and other areas with large Muslim populations. They despise his support of Israel and pledge to deny him their votes in November. Biden has to win the battleground state of Michigan to win re-election.

For whatever reason, Biden went to a podium at the White House on Friday and presented a crazy plan to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The release of the hostages, the live ones, and the remains of the others seems like an afterthought.

The plan is separated into three stages. Biden claimed that Israel offered the plan and Biden's "team" worked with Qatar, a main mediator in the negotiations, to take the plan to Hamas.

The plan's first phase would start with six weeks of a full and complete cease-fire, including the withdrawal of Israeli forces from populated areas of Gaza, and the release of women and children hostages, Biden said. This initial stage would also include a surge of humanitarian assistance, with 600 trucks carrying aid into Gaza every day.

The president said that phase two wouldn't begin until all agreements are reached. That second stage would involve the release of all living hostages in exchange for Palestinians imprisoned in Israel.

The final phase would be the start of a major reconstruction plan in Gaza and any final remains of hostages would be returned to their families.

Got that? Not only does this hand Hamas a victory on a silver platter but it pledges that American taxpayers will re-build Gaza.

Here is the thing - Biden was lying through his teeth. Netanyahu did not sign off on the plan. Biden made his speech about the ceasefire plan as Jews in Israel began to observe Shabbat. Netanyahu caught wind of Biden's stunt and broke Shabbat to address the situation

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that the conditions for ending the country’s war in Gaza “have not changed,” raising questions over a peace proposal laid out by US President Joe Biden which he said Israel submitted.

During a speech Friday, Biden said Hamas had been degraded to a point where it can no longer carry out the type of attack seen on October 7 that launched the current war. Part of the agreement, he said, would see a truce and hostage exchange while Israel and Hamas negotiate a permanent end to the fighting.

Pound sand, Joe.

Remember when former President Barack Obama said that no one should underestimate Joe Biden's ability to mess things up? This is a good example. His history as a serial liar is well-established. In this case, he wanted to take credit for a ceasefire plan while lying about Israel's support of it.

So, guess what happened? Obama called him out on it. Obama said the plan was a Biden scheme, but not in so many words.

Of course, Obama would support Biden's pro-Hamas plan. Obama does not support Netanyahu and his disdain for Israel was apparent during his two terms as president. He just wanted everyone to know that Dementia Joe was at it again with a whopper of a story.

Netanyahu said, not so fast, Joe.

But a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday said Israel’s goals — “the destruction of Hamas military and governing capabilities, the freeing of all hostages and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel” — would need to be met before a permanent ceasefire can begin.

“Under the proposal, Israel will continue to insist these conditions are met before a permanent ceasefire is put in place. The notion that Israel will agree to a permanent ceasefire before these conditions are fulfilled is a non-starter,” the statement said.

Hamas has to be completely destroyed, no matter how long it takes. The internationally recognized terror organization has vowed to keep attacking Israel as it did on October 7 until Israel and the Jews are destroyed. There is no peace as long as Hamas exists.

This non-workable plan by Biden and his deceitful way of presenting it to the world is a good example of something former Secretary of Defense Bob Gates, who served under both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, once said about Biden. In his memoir, Gates wrote, “I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”

Biden is dangerously wrong and inept. Though there is no evidence, he thinks he is the smartest person in the room.

Biden is putting his own goal of re-election above protecting Israel. Good for Netanyahu for speaking out. Let Bibi be Bibi so Israel can win the war and finish destroying Hamas.
