Hillary Clinton Blames Women Voters for Her Loss to Trump

Hillary Clinton has blamed everyone under the sun for her loss in 2016 to Donald Trump, except herself. Eight years later, she blames women voters for not supporting her run for president.

Hillary gave an extensive interview for a book coming out about abortion and the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs that sent abortion back to the states. She criticized Democrats for not fighting harder against former President Trump's choices for the Supreme Court.

Clinton said she lost women voters because of the investigation into her use of a private email server. There was also the matter of the thousands of emails she deleted.

Clinton reflected on the role that sexism played in the 2016 campaign, claiming that FBI director James Comey re-opened a last-minute investigation into her private email to raise questions about her judgment, calling her “extremely careless.”

That widely-covered move cost her the race — and the female vote, she speculated.

“But once he did that to me, the people, the voters who left me, were women,” she told the Times.

“They left me because they just couldn’t take a risk on me, because as a woman, I’m supposed to be perfect. They were willing to take a risk on Trump — who had a long list of, let’s call them flaws, to illustrate his imperfection — because he was a man, and they could envision a man as president and commander in chief.”

Poor Hillary. Always the victim.

She blames Democrats for the SCOTUS decision that put abortion back in state hands. Oddly, she thinks Democrats in the Senate didn't fight hard enough against Trump's nominees during their nomination process. That is truly an opinion that shows how twisted her political lens is and what a bubble she lives in.

Hillary claims that if she had won in 2016, Roe would still be in place. Abortion would be protected under federal law. She's right about that. Hillary has been an outspoken advocate for abortion since she came on the political scene when her husband was in office. Planned Parenthood endorsed her in 2016, the first time the abortion industry leader endorsed a presidential candidate.

One reason many voters went with Trump in 2016 was because of the judicial nominations he promised to make if he won. It was important to many of us that the Supreme Court move more conservative in its decisions. The same was true at other levels of the judicial system, like the very liberal 9th Circuit in California.

She claims the left could have done more to fight against the demise of Roe. She said that the right continued its fight against abortion for years, refusing to back down. The truth is that abortion was never the top issue for voters in elections before the Dobbs decision.

Even when they held control of Congress, Democrats were unwilling to pass legislation codifying abortion rights into federal law. While frequently mentioned in passing to rally their base during election season, the issue rarely rose to the top of their legislative or policy agenda. Many Democrats, including President Biden, often refused even to utter the word.

“One thing I give the right credit for is they never give up,” she said. “They are relentless. You know, they take a loss, they get back up, they regroup, they raise more money.” She added: “It’s tremendously impressive the way that they operate. And we have nothing like it on our side.”

Democrats do have it on their side, though, and everyone knows that this election is centered around abortion for the Democrats. Abortion and preserving Democracy are the only things they have to run on. The top issues for voters are the economy and illegal immigration so that is a big problem for President Biden and his re-election campaign.

She took a shot at Trump by claiming if he wins in November, the United States may never hold another election. And she couldn't resist implying he is an authoritarian, like those in Iran, China, and Russia.

“This election is existential. I mean, if we don’t make the right decision in this election in our country, we may never have another actual election. I will put that out there because I believe it,” she said. “And if we no longer have another actual election, we will be governed by a small minority of right-wing forces that are well organized and well funded and are getting exactly what they want in terms of turning the clock back on women.”

Mrs. Clinton described those forces and her former opponent as part of “global phenomena” restricting women’s rights, pointing to a push by Xi Jinping, the Chinese leader, pressing women to focus on raising children; the violent policing of women who violate Iran’s conservative dress code; and what she described as the misogyny of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

“Authoritarians, whether they be political or religious based, always go after women. It’s just written in the history. And that’s what will happen in this country,” Mrs. Clinton said.

“More people have got to wake up, because this is the beginning,” she said. “They really want us to just shut up and go home. That’s their goal. And nobody should be in any way deluded. That’s what they will force upon us if they are given the chance.”

Hillary refuses to leave the stage. She was in the Obama administration which targeted conservative-leaning journalists. Obama demanded a boycott of Fox News Channel by his administration. Now the Biden administration is waging lawfare against Trump to keep him out of the White House. Democrats always accuse Republicans of what they are doing.

When Trump was in office, the Senate had a Republican majority. There was no way that Democrats could deny his nominees a place on the Supreme Court as long as Republican senators held together. They did. Elections have consequences. Voters need to remember this in November. We need a change to deny Joe Biden and his progressive minions the opportunity to destroy our country.

Hillary lost because she was unlikeable. She didn't bother to campaign in Wisconsin. She called half the country 'deplorables.' She deserved to lose to her former friend Donald Trump.
