Carville: Biden's Poll Numbers are Like "Seeing Grandma Naked"

James Carville is having a moment. His quotes make headlines (see above) and he is willing to speak up against the crazy world of The Woke. To add to the mix, a documentary is being filmed about him.

New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd wrote a very entertaining piece (I know) about Carville. I doubt she intended it to receive the enjoyment I got out of Carville's conversations, but here we are.

Last week Carville advised President Biden to go more aggressively against Donald Trump in his bid to win re-election. For Carville to express his frustration that Biden is campaigning too passively is an indication that Carville takes no prisoners in his comments. Joe Biden demonizes Trump and MAGA Republicans at every opportunity. He works in his trash-talking of Republicans every time he speaks.

Carville is in hot water because he continues to speak truthfully that Biden's poll numbers are circling the drain. He told Maureen Dowd that Biden's low approval ratings are like “walking in on your grandma naked. You can’t get the image out of your mind.” He said that Democrats don't want him to talk about the poll numbers but he can't not talk about that subject. He's acutely tuned into things like poll numbers as a career political strategist and adviser. He can't unsee them.

Carville is no stranger to attacking The Woke among us. He also blames "preachy females" and their influence in the Democrat Party for losing voter support, especially among black voters.

“A suspicion of mine is that there are too many preachy females” dominating the Democrats’ culture and message, he told The Times in New Orleans. “‘Don’t drink beer. Don’t watch football. Don’t eat hamburgers. This is not good for you.’ The message is too feminine: ‘Everything you’re doing is destroying the planet. You’ve got to eat your peas.’

“If you listen to Democratic elites — NPR is my go-to place for that — the whole talk is about how women, and women of color, are going to decide this election,” he continued. “I’m like: ‘Well, 48 percent of the people that vote are males. Do you mind if they have some consideration?’”

Democrats have been on a mission to eliminate the importance of men, especially white men, in society for years. The party almost exclusively now pays attention to black women almost to the detriment of all other voters.

Carville said it is stupid to act as though Biden's age isn't an issue in the race. Though Trump is close in age to Biden, the two men's energy levels are very different.

“Now don’t tell me that Biden has more energy or cognition than Trump because it’s evident that, yeah, Trump’s got word salads, but he projects energy,” Carville said — also calling Trump “insane” and a “criminal.”

The vitriol coming from Democrats against Trump is turning violent. A few have said things lately that imply they want to see Trump dead or killed. They are in dangerous territory in today's political environment. Take, for instance, Carville's interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper. Carville introduced the term "wetwork" into the conversation.

Not cool, James.

Rep. Katie Porter mentioned she thought Trump might be dead soon or rotting in prison.

Unhinged Keith Olbermann recently voiced his hope for Trump's death.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is alive and well. It will only get worse as election day grows closer.

Carville offered guidance on how Democrats should talk to Republican voters to convince them to support Biden in November.

He thinks Donald Trump’s voters see him as akin to King Cyrus or King David in the Bible, a flawed messenger, so it’s best to use a biblical narrative about betrayal.

“If you say, ‘You dumb son of a bitch, how can you ever think that this fat, slimy, rapist, criminal, racist should be president?’ they’re going to recoil,” he said. “I think Democrats should say: ‘Look, you believed in him. You felt like you weren’t being seen, you were being culturally excluded. But he betrayed you. You thought he was going to be for you and helping you, but he was really for TikTok and tax cuts to the rich.’”

The truth is that most Americans can look back to the Trump years in the White House and remember that life was better before the pandemic happened. Trump was cruising to re-election. Even Democrats at the time acknowledged that. Then the pandemic happened and the rest is history. Enough time has passed that average voters are looking back and realizing Biden's America is a disaster. It's not just economic realities but just life in general that has deteriorated so badly.

“No one wants to live like this,” he said. “Who ever thought it was a good idea to tell people you can’t hug them or you’ve got to be careful or you’ve got to think about names to call them other than the name you know them by? There’s nothing wrong with me being white or you being white or them being Black or me being male or you being female. It’s a giant, stupid argument.”

Carville is 79 now and a relic of the past. He is one nasty hombre on the campaign trail. That's his brand - the Ragin' Cajun. It's amusing, though, when he turns that anger against his party. Pass the popcorn. We have more than seven months left until November.
