President Biden said many awful things during his State of the Union speech. One remark that was not awful was when he labeled Laken Riley's killer as "illegal." Laken Riley's killer is an illegal alien.
Alien is a word used by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution. Illegal alien means that a person decided to break U.S. immigration laws and illegally entered our country. There is nothing wrong with the description.
Feelings are more important than upholding the law for Democrats. That holds even when the person murdered a 22-year-old nursing student out in broad daylight for a jog on a popular trail at the University of Georgia.

San Fran Gran said that Biden should have used the word 'undocumented' so as not to offend the open borders crowd.
Nancy Pelosi is more concerned that Joe Biden called the criminal alien that murdered Laken Riley an “illegal” than she is about Laken Riley’s death.

“He should have said undocumented.”

It was the first time that the president had mentioned Laken at all. It was the first time he said her name and, naturally, he got it wrong. He called her Lincoln, not Laken. He was shamed into saying her name by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
CHAMBER CONFESSION: Biden invokes Laken Riley: “Innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal — that’s right.” This was the first time the president said Laken’s name since the college nursing student was murdered by suspect in US illegally. pic.twitter.com/LDkcqNJYK0

Biden was all hopped up on something and he spent 67 minutes yelling at his audience. He was disrupted frequently by both the left and right sides of the aisle. He mentioned his "predecessor" a whopping 13 times. His predecessor, though, secured the southern border. That inconvenient truth is coming back to bite Biden, given that immigration is the top issue for a majority of voters during this election cycle.
Democrats are no longer able to ignore the Biden border crisis as they have during the past three years. The House passed the Laken Riley Act yesterday just hours before Biden's State of the Union address and 37 Democrats joined all the Republicans to pass the bill.
Kamala Harris breaks into evil smile as Biden gets the name wrong of Laken Riley, the 22 year old woman who was killed by an illegal alien.

Harris struggled to hold back her smile as Biden said “Lincoln Riley an innocent young woman who was k*lled.” pic.twitter.com/sq5iMF1kWO
Kamala Harris is the worst. Isn't she supposed to be the border czar?
"I wish the president would not have used a disrespectful term to describe the man who beat a 22 year old girl to death." Is going to be a wild news cycle.

Yet here we are.
The most bizarre reaction to Biden's speech last night are the pols who were more upset that he said "an illegal" than they were that an illegal immigrant murdered an innocent young woman. Back to the ol' words are violence and actual violence is just expression, days

Exactly.
Whose feelings are being hurt? The people who broke the law by illegally entering the United States? Spare me.
Biden is trying to play catch-up after deliberately creating the border catastrophe. He wants to be re-elected and now he has to pretend to be interested in doing something to correct his deadly mistakes. It's ridiculous. He can secure the border right now the same way he opened it up. Sign some executive orders and it's done. He tried to prove he is the un-Trump president as it relates to border security. He did that by undoing over 90 executive orders and actions. It backfired spectacularly - who could have predicted that? Joe Biden has blood on his hands.
Journos are weighing in, too. Because of course.
I’ll admit my jaw dropped when @POTUS used the word “illegal”

Words matter
I’ve said that it matters, as a journalist who has reported on both Trump & Biden admins
Especially as someone born & raised on the border in Texas’ RGV & as someone who has frequently reported there pic.twitter.com/50ZkGJS4BG
Words do indeed matter. Joe Biden should have said Laken Riley's name when she was murdered by an illegal alien, not weeks later to curry favor in a grossly political campaign-style State of the Union address. She was murdered on February 22. Biden was silent until the night of March 7. That's disgraceful. Imagine how her family feels about that silence.
And, there is this one.
Look at this thread to see how slippery and disingenuous these people are.

Biden said illegal immigrants.
I am an immigrant. Why should I feel offended in any way that he said that, and what does your scenario have to do with illegal immigrations.
You are an absolute disgrace https://t.co/tDwHpfrysT
President Biden is quick to reach for the phone or find a camera to make remarks when a black person is killed or when Border Patrol agents on horseback are falsely accused of whipping illegal aliens with horse reins while crossing the Rio Grande River. Biden never apologized to those Border Patrol agents.
The truth is that Democrats don't care. They want the chaos and crises along the southern border. It is unAmerican. It is a threat to democracy. Excuse me if I don't get offended hearing an illegal alien accurately described.
