If his lips are moving, he's lying. NBC News is reporting that Special Counsel Robert Hur did not ask Joe Biden when Beau Biden died. It was Joe Biden who brought it up.
Listen, if Joe Biden is being fact-checked by NBC News, his re-election campaign is in more trouble than I think it is. The liberal legacy network carries water for Biden and his administration all day long. Yet, here we are. Biden's lying has gotten so bad that the liberal media is beginning to come out of its bubble. You love to see it.
Remember, Joe Biden ignored his staff and his wife and insisted on doing a press conference last week after the Hur report was released. It was a nighttime event. Joe Biden is never good at night. He went before the White House press corps and lied. This is what we have come to expect from Joe Biden but it is usually never pointed out to us by the mainstream media that Biden lied.
This is a particularly egregious lie. Joe Biden's son, Beau, died of brain cancer in 2015. He was 46 years old. Naturally, the Biden family was devastated, as any family is with the loss of a family member. Since then, though, Joe Biden has claimed that his son died in Iraq. He hasn't just gotten mixed up and said that once or twice. He says it at every opportunity. What Joe seems to think is that Beau's brain cancer was caused by the open pit trash burning the military did in Iraq. Beau did a tour in Iraq as a JAG, that part is true. The cause of his brain cancer has not been reported.
Biden acts as though he is a Gold Star father and that is wrong. It is offensive to parents who lost their sons and daughters in war. Maybe the onset of dementia has made Biden think Beau died in Iraq.
The Hur report noted Joe Biden's loss of memory. Hur used specific instances during the five hours of interviewing Biden over two days when memory loss was obvious. Biden couldn't remember when he was vice president, for example. And, the report noted, he couldn't remember when Beau died.
Ok. He's old and his memory is shot. He couldn't remember the year. However, during the press conference, Biden went full-on angry old man and said when Hur asked about Beau, Biden thought it was "none of his damn business." He was aghast that Hur brought up his dead son.
“How in the hell dare he raise that?” Biden told reporters in an impromptu White House press conference. “Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it wasn’t any of their damn business.”
Then, to add to the drama, a fundraising letter was sent from the Biden campaign. It was from Jill Biden who indignantly shared her outrage that the Hur report included "her" son. At the end of Jill's letter was a link for donations to the Biden campaign. Can you say TACKY? Was she even bothered by the inclusion of Beau's death or was it all just for the fundraising angle? Either way, it was a disgusting way to go after political donations.
And, it wasn't true.
But Hur never asked that question, according to two people familiar with Hur’s five-hour interview with the president over two days last October. It was the president, not Hur or his team, who first introduced Beau Biden’s death, they said.
Biden raised his son’s death after being asked about his workflow at a Virginia rental home from 2016 to 2018, the sources said, when a ghost writer was helping him write a memoir about losing Beau to brain cancer in 2015. Investigators had a 2017 recording showing that Biden had told the ghost writer he had found “classified stuff” in that home, the report says.
Biden began trying to recall that period by discussing what else was happening in his life, and it was at that point in the interview that he appeared confused about when Beau died, the sources said. Biden got the date — May 30 — correct, but not the year.
Oh. Just another instance where Joe Biden lied to the press.
Democrats and their cohorts in the media took Hur to task for asking about Beau.
“Why in the hell are you asking that question?” former Attorney General Eric Holder, a Democrat, said Monday on MSNBC, suggesting that Hur was "a rube, perhaps," who had "shaded" what he put in the report. “What does that have to do with the retention of classified documents?”
It had nothing to do with the retention of classified documents, Mr. Holder. Hur didn't ask the question. Who's the 'rube' now, huh?
The phony baloney outrage was used as a distraction from the larger issue - Biden's loss of memory. It brings into question Biden's fitness for the job of president. It has brought calls for the use of the 25th Amendment, though no one should hold their breath over that demand. His cabinet will not do it. Biden and his administration want to cling to power. Jill Biden won't let Joe go anywhere. It's elder abuse and Biden's dementia puts the United States at risk but Biden must stay in power as long as possible so the Biden crime family shenanigans can continue. Never mind what is right for the country. In his demented mind, Biden thinks he is saving democracy.
Biden owes Robert Hur an apology. Hur went out of his way, in my opinion, to go easy on Biden. No charges will be filed for his acts of espionage. Trump is being charged, but not Joe Biden. This is Biden's America.
