Texas Bus Company Sues Chicago over Illegal Alien Drop-Offs

Wynne Transportation filed a federal lawsuit against Chicago over its ordinance that dictates where and when buses carrying illegal aliens drops off its passengers.

It is a Texas bus company. The ordinance allows buses that do not abide by the new rules to be fined $3,000 and risk having the bus impounded. The lawsuit claims that the ordinance interferes with interstate commerce and creates “intentional discrimination” against its passengers.

The mayor’s office said it doesn’t comment on lawsuits.

Chicago is a sanctuary city. Illegal aliens in Texas ask to go to Chicago. Governor Abbott buses them to sanctuary cities under Operation Lone Star, an initiative he started in March 2021 when it became clear that the Biden border crisis is intentional. Joe Biden is derelict in his duty as president, as his first duty is to protect the homeland and her citizens. What is Governor Abbott to do? Just sit back and let illegal immigration destroy Texas?

The Chicago ordinance specifically targets migrant buses. Mayor Johnson followed what NYC Mayor Adams did, which was to restrict hours of drop-offs to some morning hours Monday through Friday. Johnson’s ordinance does not allow for drop-offs on weekends or federal holidays.

“No owner or operator of any intercity bus shall use any designated bus stop, bus stand or passenger loading/unloading zone, or any other location, for loading or unloading of passengers, luggage or other goods without first obtaining the approval of the Commissioner,” the ordinance reads.

The city wants migrants dropped of at a “landing zone” at 800 S. Des Plaines St. — near the site of the Maxwell Street market. New arrivals are then to be moved to shelters or police stations.

That all sounds nice and orderly but illegal immigration is not nice and orderly along the Texas border. It is a 24/7 business run by drug and human trafficking cartels. It’s a multi-billion dollar business. It’s also the NGOs along the border who are making a lot of money from offering assistance to illegal immigrants. The illegal aliens have a choice of six cities right now on Governor Abbott’s sanctuary city list. Chicago is a popular choice. The other cities on the list are New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Denver, and Los Angeles. I think there should be more cities added to the list. Let more buses roll across the country until the southern border is secured.

Illinois Governor Pritzker sent a letter begging Governor Abbott to stop sending buses during winter weather. Governor Abbott said he will not do that. The buses will continue to head to Chicago. However, the buses have been halted in recent days, not because of the governor’s letter, but because of road conditions.

There are about 14,500 illegal aliens in 28 Chicago shelters. Nearly 35,000 illegal aliens have been bused to Chicago since August 2022.

Wynne Transportation is based in Irving, Texas. What happened to welcoming illegal aliens, Mayor Johnson?

The suit against the city “is about allowing immigrants the opportunity to call Chicago home,” the lawsuit says.

“Rather than welcoming migrants and giving them sanctuary, Chicago is turning its back on those wishing to travel here by enacting an ordinance that targets the transportation companies that transport migrants from our southern border to their desired destination,” it continues.

The fall-out of the Biden border crisis has shown progressive mayors of blue cities to be hypocrites. Everything is fine as long as all the illegal aliens remained in border states, especially Texas. Once the virtue-signaling mayor were taken at their word and the buses began to roll, suddenly everything changed. Governor Abbott is saying, “no mas” to these hypocrites and the Biden administration. Let the buses continue to transport the illegal aliens where they want to go and shine a spotlight on President Biden’s dereliction of his top duty.
