On Sunday night, Secret Service agents spotted three thugs breaking a window on a parked and unoccupied government vehicle in Washington, D.C. The agents protect the president’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden, and this took place outside her home in Georgetown.
Metropolitan Police and Secret Service are investigating the incident as an agent-involved shooting. Naomi Biden was not named as the protectee. It happened just before midnight.
” During this encounter, a federal agent discharged a service weapon and it is believed no one was struck,” the spokesperson said. “The offenders immediately fled the scene in a red vehicle and a regional lookout was issued to supporting units. There was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service.”
It is not clear if Naomi was aware of what was happening at the time but she was told of the incident. There is no indication at this time that her Secret Service detail was targeted or that the criminals knew who lived there. Good to know, though, that she and her new husband have moved into their own home. The last reports were that the two lived at the White House with Joe and Jill Biden. Naomi works as a lawyer for a D.C. law firm.
Crime, and carjackings specifically, is so out of control in Washington, D.C. that this wouldn’t even be a story if there was not a connection to the president’s granddaughter. As of late October, more than 800 carjackings were reported this year. That is more than double the number reported in 2022. Juvenile crime is a big problem. 64 percent of carjacking arrests involve juveniles.
Last week an armed 17-year-old was arrested for carjacking. Instead of cracking down on theft and carjackings, D.C. officials were busy passing out air tags to residents so that if their vehicle was stolen they might be able to track its whereabouts. Unreal.
So, in this Democrat-run city, the car thieves are running loose because the Secret Service not only missed the shot that was taken at one of them, but the three got away. It’s disturbing that they got away but even more disturbing that the Secret Service agent missed the shot.
I wonder what the gun-grabber-in-chief thinks of his armed security force firing a shot to protect his granddaughter. I’m guessing that his security force being armed is completely acceptable to Biden, though he calls for law-abiding citizens to give up their “assault weapons”, as though he knows what he is talking about. Remember, Joe Biden once told Jill to shoot an intruder in the leg with his rifle if the need ever arose. Guns for me but not for thee.
U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas was carjacked near the Capitol last month by three armed men, who stole his car but didn’t physically harm him.
The D.C. police department recommends that people drive “like they’re U.S embassy personnel in dangerous countries:”
This will bring more national attention to the carjacking epidemic in DC right now. It’s so bad that the police dept, in the nation’s capital, of the country that’s “leader of the free world” —recommends people drive like they’re U.S embassy personnel in dangerous countries: https://t.co/hFi7nSG7LF pic.twitter.com/tPhZE5YhII

According to Russet, “post pandemic, juvenile crime is at a crisis point from truancy, carjackings, homicides etc.”
There’s a lot of nuance why this is happening. Police Dept is short 500-700 officers, DC’s unique Fed/local jurisdiction has ample “slip through the cracks” issues. But it’s clear post pandemic—juvenile crime is at a crisis point from truancy, carjackings, homicides etc.

Law and order is a top issue with voters going into the 2024 presidential election. Democrats have destroyed cities with their refusal to arrest and jail people, instead processing them and releasing them without bail. This isn’t justice. Democrats coddle criminals over victims of crime. Where is justice for them?
