A Chicago woman was taken into the custody of U.S. Marshals until her detention hearing Wednesday afternoon. She was charged with “transmitting threats to kill or injure another person in interstate commerce in a criminal complaint filed Aug. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.” The persons involved are Donald Trump and his youngest son, Barron.

Prosecutors want Tracy Fiorenza, age 41, held before a hearing can take place in Florida because Barron Trump, 17, is a minor.

The charges are federal. She allegedly sent emails threatening the lives of the former president and Barron. Fiorenza was arrested Monday morning at her Chicago residence. Hours later, she made an appearance at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse. Judge Jeffrey Cummings told Fiorenza that she will be transferred to Florida. Charges will be filed there.

According to the complaint, Fiorenza emailed the headmaster of Barron Trump’s school in Palm Beach County on May 21 and wrote, “I will state that I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!”

Fiorenza allegedly emailed the headmaster again on June 5, saying that she would “slam a bullet” in Barron’s head “with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!”

A Secret Service agent reached out to Fiorenza in June and arranged for an interview that month at the U.S. Secret Service’s Chicago field office. During the meeting, Fiorenza was shown copies of her emails, the complaint states.

Fiorenza allegedly confirmed that she “intentionally wrote” and sent the emails from her residence at the time in Plainfield.

It isn’t so out of the ordinary that a president or former president receives a threat to their life, as there are some sick people in the world. It does seem unusual that the focus of the death threat was 17-year-old Barron Trump. Threatening the life of a child is a different kind of sickness. She didn’t just snap one day and send off a threatening email to Barron’s school. She did it twice – once in May and again in June. I don’t think this story got much press coverage. I only read about it today, maybe because her hearing is scheduled for today.

Granted, there have been some other big stories to cover in the press this week revolving around Trump – the first Republican debate, Trump and his co-defendants in Georgia, and Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson instead of participating in the debate, to name a few.

Social media accounts alleged to be linked to Fiorenza contain references to the Illuminati and images of Donald Trump with a noose around his neck. According to her Facebook page, she is a former social studies teacher. Yikes!

The crime of which she is accused carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. She needs to be removed from society, preferably to a mental health institution.
