C’mon. I wasn’t the only person to automatically think of Hunter Biden when a news report broke that a baggie of cocaine had been found in the West Wing of the White House. It was officially labeled as testing positive as cocaine on Wednesday, according to the Secret Service. There are still plenty of questions about the story.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has some questions and wrote a letter to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle demanding that he receive answers by 5:00PM on Friday, July 14. He isn’t fooling around here. Good for him because we know that if this story was left to the White House press and the White House, the story would vanish down a rabbit hole, never to be seen again. That is especially true if First Son Hunter does wind up involved, or one of his friends. Or, maybe one of the Biden’s grandchildren. Who knows? All we know at this point is that a baggie filled with a white substance was found in a cubby inside the West Wing. We are told that this is where staff and visitors store their cell phones when going into the Oval Office to speak with The Big Guy.

Someone got confused and put their coke in the cubby, too. Maybe they did a line before going in to the the Oval Office. The question is who did it? White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre implied it was in a high traffic area, a work area, in the White House. Others who have worked in the White House say, malarkey, that isn’t an area where a lot of people are freely walking around. She wouldn’t answer if the White House wants whomever left the cocaine there prosecuted but was quick to say it wasn’t Hunter or anyone else traveling with the president to Camp David on Friday.

KJP tried to brush it off and say the Secret Service is investigating and she’ll leave it to them to do that. Senator Cotton points out that an even bigger question is that of illicit drugs in the White House. Does the Biden White House have a problem with drug use among its staff? Shouldn’t the American people know if the Biden White House is compromised by drug users? Tom Cotton wants a list of names of those who aren’t subject to a full security screening at the White House. He also wants “statistics on the Secret Service’s use of K-9 screenings and details on audits of their security procedures.

“The American people deserve to know whether illicit drugs were found in an area where confidential information is exchanged,” Cotton wrote.

Cotton is a member of the Subcommittee on Criminal Justice and Counterterrorism and a hawk on law and order. He wants to know if an arrest will be made when the culprit is identified. And, he’d like a briefing. He only asks six questions and all are perfectly reasonable.

1. Who has access to the White House complex without passing through any security screening? Please provide a complete list of all such individuals.

2. Who has access to the White House complex while subject to lesser security screening requirements than the most complete screening required of individuals accessing the West Wing? Please provide a complete list of all such individuals, along with a description of the lesser screening requirements and the reasons such individuals are not subject to complete screening.

3. The Secret Service’s Annual Report for FY2022 notes that the Secret Service’s Personnel Screening K-9 program screens approximately 10 million “visitors to the exterior of The White House each year.” How many visitors to the interior of the White House are screened by the Secret Service’s K-9s each year? Please provide a description of the circumstances under which the Secret Service chooses not to use K-9 screening for West Wing visitors.

4. In the past five years, how often has the Secret Service encountered illegal drugs at the White House complex? How often were these drugs detected during security screenings, and how often were these drugs encountered inside secure areas?

5. Section 3056A of Title 18, U.S. Code, provides members of the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division with the authority to “make arrests without warrant for any offense against the United States committed in their presence, or for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such felony.” Illegally possessing cocaine is a crime under federal law. If the Secret Service discovers the identity of the individual who brought illicit cocaine into the White House complex, will they make an arrest under this provision?

6. How often does the Secret Service audit its security procedures for the White House complex and adjust those procedures to correct potential flaws? Please provide details regarding the most recent complete audit, including whether it was conducted by the Secret Service or another entity.

The White House has lots of security, including the Secret Service, security cameras, K-9 protection, and it can drug test employees. Staff are put through a background check before they are hired. Who know how stringent this White House is on following the rules, given all we know about how loosey-goosey the corrupt Biden family is in its business dealings? What if it was a family member who stupidly didn’t think twice about dropping cocaine off with her/his cell phone?

The discovery of cocaine in the West Wing is unfortunate since Hunter Biden is apparently living in the White House and The Big Guy is keeping him close so as to make sure he doesn’t relapse and begin using drugs again. All those tax investigations and child support court appearances are stressful, you know. So, Hunter goes to Camp David with his dad on weekends and mingles with world leaders and movers and shakers at a state dinner at the White House (wonder how many deals he made that night?) as though he doesn’t have a care in the world. He was seen on the White House balcony watching the July 4 fireworks with Joe and Jill and various other family members. He held his 3-year-old son and the Bidens are trying really, really hard to look like a normal family. Joe and Jill are just doting grandparents, except for little Navy Joan in Arkansas. They refuse to acknowledge her existence. Joe told staff to say he has six, not seven, grandchildren. What a guy.

Remember when Joe Biden promised to bring normal back to the White House? Is this what he had in mind?
