Elon Musk: "Man, I wish we could have just a normal human being as President"

Elon Musk speaks for us all. Musk was asked Tuesday by CNBC journalist David Faber if he regrets voting for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. He hedged the questioned pretty well. He voiced an opinion I think it is safe to say that many of us hold – “Man, I wish we could have just a normal human being as President.”

Musk hesitated and thought before he answered the question, as is his way. I admit I’m a Musk fan and one reason is because he is a thoughtful thinker. Sure, he comes in hot on Twitter when the mood strikes but in interviews you can see him taking a beat and thinking before he speaks. That’s refreshing in a world where so many prominent people are all too willing to deliver hot takes and provide knee jerk reactions instead of thoughtful answers to questions. Faber got a good answer from Musk on his 2020 presidential vote and on future presidents.

Without providing an exact answer, Musk said, “Man, I wish we could have just a normal human being as President.”

“There’s that old saying that’s like, ‘We’re better off being run by people picked at random from the phone book than the faculty at Harvard.’ I don’t know who said that but it was somebody very wise,” Musk said to Faber during Tuesday’s one-on-one interview.

“I would say if we could do that for a president, that would be great!” Musk exclaimed.

“Obviously you’re not happy with Biden,” Faber said.

“Don’t we just want a normal human being?” Musk responded and later emphasized the importance of havig a president that is a good chief executive officer, insinuating the current one lacks that ability.

“It’s not simply a matter of do they share your beliefs,” Musk said. “But are they good at getting things done.”

“There’s a lot of decisions that need to be made every day. Many that aren’t related to beliefs. And you just want a good executive,” Musk said.

Competence? Yes. That would be nice for a change. Musk is right – the presidency is like an executive leadership position, a CEO of the country. That is why governors make good presidents. Well, except for Jimmy Carter. Governors get experience in handling all kinds of problems and situations that a president faces on a larger scale. Biden was a career senator. He talked about policy and was usually wrong in his conclusions but he never really had to solve problems or make big decisions. He voted, he didn’t provide much else. Then he was vice-president playing second fiddle to “clean and articulate” Barack Obama. He produced no results to boast about from projects Obama gave to him. Competence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is sorely lacking.

Biden and Musk aren’t known to have a warm relationship. Biden wanted an investigation into Musk’s purchase of Twitter. Biden also wanted the FBI to “investigate the potential counterintelligence risks posed by the acquisition. Remember, Democrats always accuse others of things they are guilty of doing. At the time, Biden’s involvement in the phony Russia, Russia, Russia hoax had not been announced in the Durham report.

Biden also excludes Musk and Tesla from White House events for electric vehicles. That is particularly inexcusable, given Musk’s record as a pioneer in commercial electric vehicle production. President Unity has failed miserably to unite the nation and its citizens. He doesn’t even try.
