A congressman from Texas, Rep. Tony Gonzales, is sending up a red flag about the Biden border crisis. Not only are 80,000 migrants heading to the U.S. border, but the White House is not taking phone calls from him. That’s the word from Gonzales who heard about the caravan of migrants from Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei. They were cutting through Guatemala when Giammattei delivered the update to Gonzales.
Giammattei told Gonzales that 80,000 migrants are coming because Title 42 ends Thursday. It’s one less obstacle to their path to coming across the border. Most of them are from Venezuela. The most alarming part of the story is that the Biden White House isn’t even taking phone calls from lawmakers with important information from Latin American leaders. I mean, we know Joe Biden turns a blind eye to the border crisis he created and the humanitarian crisis is intentional, but this is confirmation that Biden is shirking his primary responsibility – keeping Americans safe at home. Unlike the horse hockey made up about Trump, the Biden border crisis is truly an impeachable offense, if you ask me. But that’s a post for another day. The focus now should be on the information that there are 80,000 migrants who are coming with impunity to our southern border all at one time and the White House isn’t even picking up the phone to hear what is going on.
Gonzales said he is in frequent communication with Giammaattei and has visited Guatemala because the country plays an important role in the Biden border crisis.
Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales, who represents some 450 miles of the southern border, said he learned of the hordes of migrants while speaking to the Guatemalan president.
“There are 80,000 illegals cutting through Guatemala right now,” the Republican told The Post, adding the alarming figure prompted him to call the Biden Administration to share the information.
“I called the White House and no one is picking up,” the exasperated US Representative added.
That criticism has been made of the Biden administration by others who are trying to work on the border crisis. For example, Democrat Henry Cuellar of Texas is one of the very few Democrats concerned about border security. He has voiced the complaint that his calls to the White House are often ignored. He represents the Laredo area in Texas so he is very familiar with the Rio Grande Valley and its problems with illegal aliens.
Some good news is that Mexico is working to secure its own border since the United States is sending it aid. The bad news is that there is a migrant camp run by Mexican immigration officials across the border from Guatemala. There are another 60,000 migrants in that camp. The Nation reports “Protests, hunger strikes, and clashes with police are common.”
NEW: Texas Congressman @RepTonyGonzales says the President of Guatemala told him he knows of at least 80,000 predominantly Venezuelan nationals who are making their way to the U.S. border ahead of the drop of Title 42, and that nobody at the White House would take his calls.

Just another day in Biden’s America. Move along, there is nothing to see here, just American sovereignty going down the tubes with a completely unsustainable situation along the southern border.
