Trans Day of Vengeance moves forward despite Nashville mass murder and MTG's Twitter account is suspended

The ‘Trans Day of Vengeance’ will continue despite the horrific mass shooting at a small private elementary school this week. A demonstration is planned for Saturday outside the Supreme Court. The activists organizing this event show tone-deaf indifference to grieving families and a community struggling to deal with the aftermath of such senseless violence on three innocent nine-year-olds and three adults. Seven people are dead at the hands of a young biological woman who identified as transgender, including the shooter, but the protest goes on.

The “Day” of Vengeance isn’t just one day, it’s a multi-day event. The organizers claim that there is genocide of trans people happening in the United States. However, that’s a foolish use of the term and ironic considering that one of their own was behind this week’s mass shooting at a school. Is holding a protest in the next few days the way to win the hearts and minds of people not sympathetic to the trans community?

That’s the rub, though. Their intention isn’t to win the hearts and minds of others, it is to ram their dysfunctional lifestyle down the throats of the population in general. You will be made to care. The reaction they are hoping for will not happen, instead, they will create more ill will than goodwill.

What word comes to mind when you hear or read the word ‘vengeance’? Violence. Everyone has that thought. Vengeance isn’t a passive term. It implies anger and often violence. No one hears vengeance and thinks of kumbaya. Revenge, yes. People living together in harmony? No. The organizers aren’t stupid. They know what they are doing.

Trans Day of Vengeance is organized by the Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN). People are going to social media to express their criticism of the event going forward at this time. One person involved in the kerfuffle is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. She said her account was suspended for 7 days over a tweet.

Republican firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene yesterday demanded her Twitter account be restored after features were limited for violating rules.

She said: ‘My Congressional account was suspended for 7 days for exposing Antifa, who are organizing a call for violence called “Trans Day of Vengeance.”

‘The day after the mass murder of children by a trans shooter. Restore my account immediately.’

Twitter admits to “sweeping” the platform of thousands of tweets that contained the poster that advertises the event.

Ian Miles Cheong wrote that ‘Twitter is now cracking down on those who promote the “Trans Day of Vengeance” poster, which mostly comprises of trans militants who are calling for a day of mass violence.’

Twitter’s Trust and Safety lead, Ella Irwin, responded: ‘Correct. We had to automatically sweep our platform and remove >5000 tweets/retweets of this poster.

‘We do not support tweets that incite violence irrespective of who posts them.

‘”Vengeance” does not imply peaceful protest. Organizing or support for peaceful protests is ok.’

It seems that MTG’s tweet was caught up in that sweep.

What isn’t clear is if the Nashville mass murderer was a member of the Trans Radical Activist Network. If so, the group does not claim her as one of them. They posted that they are horrified about the mass murder. The event scheduled was originally called the Trans Day of Visibility. The name was changed to include vengeance, though, because that means “fighting back with vehemence.” So, they ratcheted up the rhetoric in the name of the event. That is an aggressive move that can easily be interpreted as instigating violence, whether the group wants to accept that or not. The word vengeance is not interpreted as a peaceful word.

Words matter. TRAN should cancel the event. Absent that, they should have never changed the title of the event. They should be shamed for their lack of understanding and sensitivity while they demand those things from others.
