Joe Biden pardoned two turkeys from North Carolina on Monday. They are named “Chocolate” and “Chip.” Biden was happy to say that chocolate chip is his favorite flavor of ice cream. And we all know Sleepy Joe loves an ice cream cone.

During the pardoning, Biden made a claim that his home state of Delaware has the most chickens in the nation. “We have more chickens than anybody in the nation in Delaware, but we don’t have turkeys.” That will be news to both chicken producers and turkey producers in Delaware. As it turns out, Delaware, a.k.a. the Blue Hen State, has many turkey farms. And, though it has an abundance of chicken farms, the state does not make the top ten states that produce chickens.

However, the nation’s second-smallest state does have a booming poultry industry with a chicken population that outnumbers its residents by 200:1. But Delaware’s chicken population does not crack the top 10 of states in the nation, according to Statistica. And its poultry industry, which is worth an estimated $1.7 billion and provides 3,500 jobs, is not even in the top five in the U.S., according to the National Chicken Council.

C’mon, man. Every time the man speaks, he lies. Sometimes it’s big and important lies and other times it is just dumb to lie. How easy was this to fact check? He knows he can say whatever he wants to say and few in the media will question it.

“The votes are in. They’ve been counted and verified. There’s been no ballot stuffing, there’s been no fowl play,” Biden punned at the White House as he granted presidential reprieves to the turkeys, named Chocolate and Chip.

“The only red wave this season will be if our German shepherd Commander knocks over the cranberry sauce at our table,” the Democratic president quipped.

Hunter and his young son, Beau, were there to see the turkey pardoning. Hunter seems to pop up on a regular basis at the White House.

Chocolate and Chip are safe this year from ending up on someone’s Thanksgiving table. Though Commander looked on from the White House balcony and barked during the pardoning, there are no reports of him getting loose and chasing the special turkeys. We can be grateful for that.

Speaking of turkeys and chickens, Biden may be interested in knowing that some people are buying chickens or Thanksgiving this year instead of turkeys due to Bidenflation. One consumer blames companies along with the government for high prices.

“I’m going to buy cooked chicken that they usually have on sale for $5 or $7,” sighed Osvaldo Baez, 62, who is on a fixed income and has always celebrated Thanksgiving with turkey.

At Key Food in the East Village, where The Post found Baez shopping, a 16-pound Butterball was running $1.99 a pound — after spending an extra $75 on groceries.

“All these companies are making money, billions and billions and billions, and they’re still inflating the prices on all items,” he squawked. “And the government’s allowing it — they’re fully aware.”

I’m not on board with his opinion but the government spending of the reckless and radical Democrats, led by Biden, is what is causing Bidenflation that is hitting everyone this holiday season. Along with the supply chain problems that still exist, the cost of living is getting worse, not better, as Biden is trying to claim. Families are feeling the pinch this year.

“General inflation slashing the purchasing power of consumers is a significant factor contributing to the increase in average cost of this year’s Thanksgiving dinner,” said AFBF Chief Economist Roger Cryan, who additionally linked the sky-high costs to supply chain issues and the war in Ukraine.

The White House is working hard to convince us that the cost of gas is improving yet there are reports of higher prices as Americans hit the road for the holiday.

Americans will see the highest Thanksgiving gas prices ever next week, yet 20% more Americans plan to hit the road, according to GasBuddy.

The national average price of gasoline is expected to cost $3.68 on Thanksgiving Day, nearly 30 cents more than last year.
