Kamala Harris hosted a White House event on Wednesday. The event was titled The American Rescue Plan Workforce Development Summit and when it came time for Kamala to tout the administration’s efforts to create jobs, things got a little weird. Various cabinet secretaries and politicians were in attendance, including Labor Secretary Walsh and Gene Sperling who is the White House coordinator for the American Rescue Plan.

Kamala mangled up her words as she spoke about the need for investments in transportation and public transit so that people can get to all the jobs this administration is creating. (I know.)

Together, we are expanding access to transportation. It seems like maybe it’s a small issue; it’s a big issue. You need to get to go and need to be able to get where you need to go to do the work and get home.

So we have expanded access to transportation, including what we need to invest in public transit, understanding that the infrastructure in our country around public transit is and has been in disrepair in many areas of our country. And so that is the investment that we have put in there.

As happens in this administration, White House transcripts are cleaned up a bit so as to not allow the president or the vice-president to look as inarticulate as they are. It is hard to tell some days who is worse at delivering a speech, Joe or Kamala. So, the words in the transcript are a bit more polished than what Kamala actually said.

‘You need to get to go, and you to be able to get where you need to go, to do the work, and get home.’

That sounds more like her, right?

Kamala tried to spin the horrible CPI report as she began her remarks. Her spin was as bad as Joe’s – they both blamed the report as being out-of-date and not reflecting the drop in gas prices. The truly ironic part of her spin is what she didn’t want to admit. Inflation is through the roof because of the excessive spending in the American Rescue Act. Biden’s only solution to any problem is to throw taxpayer money at it and it has caught up with him. Americans are now suffering with inflation at a 40-year high. Biden is making Jimmy Carter look competent to run the country.

Wednesday’s word salad wasn’t even the first one for Kamala this week. On Sunday, she was interviewed for Face the Nation. She tripped over herself when the topic of codifying abortion came up.

She had been asked whether past Democrat-majority Congresses and liberal administrations had failed in not codifying abortion access in the five decades since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.

‘I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled. Certain issues are just settled,’ Harris said in the Face The Nation interview.

Heaven help us.

This afternoon when Joe Biden arrived in Israel, he delivered some remarks as he was welcomed at the airport. He referenced the Holocaust in his remarks and botched it up. He mixed up the words honor and horror. Like ya do.

It’s been a brutal week for cringeworthy mistakes. We can’t forget Jill’s speech in San Antonio where she mispronounced bodega and then compared Hispanics to breakfast tacos. Joe Biden is so unpopular these days that the Hispanic journalists took Jill to task for the comparison. You know if it was Michelle Obama and Barack was riding his wave of hero worship in the White House, none of the journalists would have uttered a peep.
