Jill Biden is on a three-day three-state tour to convince voters in Arizona, Nevada, and Kentucky that her husband is the man for the job at this time in history. The tour began in Arizona. She visited Intel’s Ocotillo campus. Later she attended a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Chandler, Arizona. The fundraiser was on tribal land, perhaps courting the Native American vote.

‘It felt like Americans across the country were holding their breath in the aftermath of four years of chaos,’ Biden said at Intel, as she recalled inauguration day last year.

Looking at the current crisis in Ukraine, she pointed out how President Joe Biden ‘is the right person for this moment in history.’

‘I want you to know that he is working tirelessly to bring people together, to bring the NATO countries together, so that they can stand up against Putin,’ she said. ‘And one of the reasons you probably all voted for him was his strength, his character – he’s unwavering. And look at his years of experience. He was in his 30s when he went to then the Soviet Union,’ she noted at the fundraiser, being held on tribal lands of the Gila River Indian Community.

I’d laugh but it’s just too sad. No one voted for Joe Biden for his strength. A majority of the Independent voters who voted for Biden did so because he was the not Trump candidate. Democrats voted for him because they are Democrats. Joe’s character is not a big selling point given his performance on the campaign trail and since taking office. He shouts in frustration and anger at this opponents during speeches, he name-calls, he makes up stories of his own life, and he routinely tries to divide Americans along racial lines. Sure, he’s been in office for way too many years but he has very little to brag about. He was, however, one of the Democrats who began the destruction of civility in the process of confirming Supreme Court nominees in the Senate, beginning with the Bork hearings. So, there’s that.

The four years of chaos with Trump brought about some very successful conservative policy, including a booming economy and full employment. Americans across all demographics found employment at historic levels. And, the United States was energy independent. President Unity came into office because of the coronavirus pandemic that destroyed the economy and locked down workers and businesses. If it were not for the pandemic, I think Trump would have been re-elected. Democrats thought so, too. Democrats ran Joe in 2020 to present him as a calming (boring) alternative, someone who would restore The Swamp back into power. He did. He brought back all the Obama retreads and look where we are. Instead of continuing the recovery from the pandemic which began at the end of Trump’s term, Biden decided to put in place economic policies and massive spending programs which extended economic troubles.

Jill Biden said that Joe is bringing NATO countries together in support of Ukraine. That’s a nice line but what he has done is sit back and allow other countries to lead. The United States is supposed to lead the world in support of freedom yet Biden is feckless. Trump may have used chaos as a way to keep the world guessing but it worked enough that Putin didn’t invade Ukraine when he was in office. Putin invaded and annexed Crimea during the Obama-Biden administration and then invaded Ukraine while Biden is in the White House. It was Biden who gave permission for Putin to go in now – he said maybe a minor invasion wouldn’t be any big deal.

Today Jill goes to Nevada. She is speaking about jobs and ending cancer on this tour. You may remember that Obama delegated finding a cure for cancer – the cancer moonshot – to Biden during his administration. On Wednesday Jill goes to Fort Campbell, Kentucky to talk to families of deployed military members supporting NATO allies in Europe. I’m sure she’ll be politely welcomed but how thrilled do you think American servicemembers are with Biden after the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan? .

Jill visited Intel to highlight job training programs at schools in the Maricopa County Community College District. It received funding through the American Rescue Plan. Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger was a guest of Jill Biden’s at the State of the Union address. On her stops, she talks up the American Rescue Plan and the bipartisan infrastructure bill because those are the only two big pieces of legislation Biden and Democrats can boast about. Trillions of dollars in spending has brought about the highest inflation in 40 years but that is probably just a coincidence.

Angela Hanks, the assistant secretary of the Employment & Training Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor is traveling with Jill. They will be joined today by HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra in Tucson. They will tour Tohono O’odham Nation’s cancer program. Becerra has been missing in action throughout his time as HHS secretary, so much so that rumors flew recently that he’d be spending more time with his family soon. He now travels with Jill or Kamala to elevate his profile.

Jill and Becerra will also tour the San Xavier del Bac Mission and watch a dance performance by Tohono O’odham members. Jill and Angela Hanks go to Reno, Nevada on Wednesday to tour Truckee Meadows Community College and learn about the school’s job training program. From there she goes to Fort Campbell.

Jill Biden’s speech at Intel was described as a campaign type of speech. She used a teleprompter and reached back to talk about the inauguration and “the man she fell in love with.” She will no doubt get glowing press coverage on this trip because she always does. She’s a Democrat. The RNC isn’t so impressed so far, though with the First Lady of Unity.

“Jill Biden’s visit does nothing to address the real issues facing Arizonans, who are paying $500 more per month in household costs because of inflation. The Biden administration is failing on the most important issues in Arizona right now, like record-high gas prices, skyrocketing inflation and the historic border crisis,” RNC Arizona communications director Ben Petersen said in a statement.

I don’t know. Some of that chaos might be a good thing after all.
