Piers Morgan: "The Queen should strip Harry and Meghan of all their titles"

Prince Harry has secretly been working on a memoir for over a year. At least that is what is being reported. He has secured a book deal with Penguin Random House worth millions of dollars. Now that the ‘breaking news’ has been released by the publisher, Harry wants you to know he didn’t need permission from his grandmother to write the memoir. He’s a grown man or something. Piers Morgan has some thoughts about it all.

Harry says he isn’t writing his memoir as a prince but as “the man I’ve become.” This is interesting given the fact that his statement was signed ‘Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex’. Let’s face it, if he didn’t have the designation of Prince in front of his name, there would be no book deal. There would certainly be no $20M book advance.

Perhaps Harry didn’t need Queen Elizabeth’s approval to allow a Pulitizer-winning ghostwriter to write his memoir but it’s reported that he didn’t bother to tell her or his father, Prince Charles, or his brother, future king Prince William. If he thought he was really doing something worthwhile, he would have at least mentioned it in passing, right? Instead, it looks like another major success in his new career as a royal grifter. He was just with his family recently when he returned to London for the unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana. He could have at least given them a heads-up. The announcement brought immediate snark from critics in England.

Harry, 36, did not warn his grandmother, father or brother about the tell-all book until ‘moments before it became public in a sign that his relationship with the Royal Family did not improve during his visit to unveil Princess Diana’s statue in London earlier this month, it was claimed today.

The Sussexes’ spokesman told the BBC that Harry would not be expected to obtain permission for the project from Buckingham Palace – but told his family including the Queen ‘very recently’ – and it is not yet clear if royal officials will get to see the finished book before its release in late 2022 by publisher Penguin Random House. MailOnline has asked Harry’s LA team to comment.

Harry said last night: ‘I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become’. Responding to his bombshell statement signed ‘Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex’, broadcaster Kirstie Allsopp replied: ‘In which case stop using the title to sell books’ and one royal insider said tartly: ‘A book by Harry, as written by Meghan.’

The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William are said to have been completely blindsided by Harry’s shock announcement that he has been secretly working on his as yet untitled memoirs with Pulitzer-winning ghostwriter J. R. Moehringer for a year.

Another source revealed that the announcement had provoked ‘much eye-rolling’, adding: ‘I think everyone is just tired of being angry when it comes to those two. They have spent the last 18 months doing everything they promised Her Majesty they wouldn’t do – making a living off their previous lives and status as members of the Royal Family. It’s depressingly predictable, unfortunately.’

The author ghostwriting Prince Harry’s new book is J.R. Moehringer, who may have been introduced to Harry by George Clooney, who is turning Moehringer’s own memoir, The Tender Bar, into a movie next year. It’s all so cozy, isn’t it? It is being reported by The Sun that Harry had to scramble to contact the Queen and his family to tell them about the memoir when he realized the announcement was going public.

It’s more Megxit drama and that’s unfortunate for the Royal Family. The Queen is “in despair”. The book is to be published in late 2022, the year that marks the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The year is one of celebration of her 70 years on the throne. In his DailyMail.com column, Morgan opines the Queen should just go ahead and strip both Harry and Meghan of all their royal titles.

Just as he didn’t give a sh*t when he spray-gunned the royals on prime-time US TV as his grandfather was dying.

Harry says he’s done this book not as a Prince but ‘as the man I have become’ but nobody would care about his literary thoughts if he wasn’t a Prince, and the man he’s become is a treacherous toad, totally unrecognisable from the brave war hero who served his country so valiantly in Afghanistan.

That Harry would have found the new constantly moaning cry-baby Harry as ridiculous as I do.

Prince Poison has gone toxically rogue, and the royals should have nothing more to do with him or his wife Princess Pinocchio until or if they stop this horribly destructive vituperative rampage against them all.

The memoirs are a slap in the face too far for a family that’s surely exhausted all collective patience with the Sussexes.

I’ve said this before, and I now say it again: the Queen should strip Harry and Meghan of all their titles with immediate effect.

Compel them to do this malevolent, manipulative cr*p in their names, not as royals.

Harry behaves as a spoiled brat and does the bidding of his social-climbing Hollywood star wannabe wife Meghan. The two stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and live their best lives in California now. His publisher describes Harry as “a global leader” who joins “the world-renowned leaders, icons, and change-makers we have been privileged to publish over the years.” Who knew people look to ole Harry as a global leader? Though he wants to present himself as a mature family man now, who can forget the party boy who dressed up as a Nazi? Or the guy who is determined to paint his family as racist now? He has an odd way of walking the walk. His grandmother isn’t getting any younger and the memoir will hijack attention she has more than earned in her lifetime of service to her country.

Piers Morgan notes the Queen’s strict maxim, ‘Never complain, never explain, and rarely be heard speaking in public.’ Whatever your opinion of the Royal Family, it is undeniable that she has conducted herself with dignity and stocially dealt with wayward younger royals. Harry has much to learn before anyone thinks of him as a mature family man.
