An Arizona Man was Arrested in California after posting videos on Facebook in which he threatened to murder Donald Trump and his entire family. His name is Manuel Tamayo-Torres and he apparently posted his most recent video last Thursday.

The documents state Tamayo-Torres made a threat on Thursday saying in a video, "You're gonna die, your son's gonna die. Your whole family is going to die. This is reality for you now. This is the only reality you have in your future, dying."

He went on to say the "Secret Service, FBI, CIA and the military are all defenseless "off the books."

In some of these videos he displayed an AR-15 and other guns. Tamayo-Torres has been posting deranged videos about Trump nearly every day, claiming Trump was involved in kidnapping and sex-trafficking his daughter. He definitely sounds like a nut, but he's a nut who apparently showed up at an August Trump rally. It sounds like he was stalking Trump.

The clip was one of "numerous" rambling and curse-laden videos he's posted "on a near-daily basis" in recent months claiming that "Individual 1" kidnapped and sex-trafficked his children, according to the charging documents.

It's unclear if Tamayo-Torres actually has children...

In another video, according to the charging documents, Tamayo-Torres said he witnessed "Individual 1" and the Secret Service kidnap his daughter. The video was posted Aug. 23 from Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, where Trump was holding a campaign rally that day.

Authorities located him in San Diego after he posted a video made inside his vehicle in the city.

Fox News is reporting Tamayo-Torres has a record and a history of violence. That should have prevented him from buying any guns but he apparently lied on the forms he filled out and tried to buy them anyway.

He has a 2003 conviction of assault causing great bodily injury in California, for which he received a six-year prison sentence. Then in July 2023, his ex-wife obtained a restraining order against him in Arizona.

His felony history and the active restraining order both banned him from owning firearms, but on Nov. 13 and again on Nov. 15, 2023, he went to a Shooters World store in Phoenix, Arizona, and filled out the 4473 form for a background check.

Those attempts were "delayed" and "denied" – but prosecutors now say he lied on the forms. He allegedly claimed he had never been convicted of a felony and that he was not the subject of a restraining order from a child or intimate partner.

So it sounds like the guns he displayed online were ones he owned previously (but shouldn't have been allowed to have because of the restraining order/prior conviction) and his attempts to buy more guns earlier this month failed. In any case, he really does sound like a person with several screws loose, i.e. someone who might have actually done something crazy.

I don't see any copies of his videos circulating. Authorities must have taken them down pretty quickly after the arrest. Still, it's worrisome that this guy was posting videos like this every day since August and it took more than two months to arrest him. It makes you wonder how many more would-be assassins are still out there raving about Trump. It's going to be a very long four years.
