The misogynistic resistance: Pam Bondi becomes 4th female Trump supporter to be harassed in public

Florida’s Attorney General Pam Bondi was harassed at a movie theater over the weekend. You may already have seen this clip which shows Bondi and her boyfriend leaving the theater while a woman screams at them:

This took place after the movie was over, but today Bondi appeared on Fox News and described being confronted and screamed at three separate times before the film started.

“A woman approaches me in the ticket line and starts screaming that I was personally ripping babies out of the arms of mothers,” Bondi said. Bondi explained that she did not support separating mothers and babies but that didn’t have any impact. “Because I was talking normally to them, they didn’t know what to do,” she said. “So then three huge guys came up and started, probably an inch from my face, screaming at me every word in the book, cursing as loud as they could.”

A Trooper told the shouting group to back off. Bondi and her boyfriend got their tickets and went inside at which point the same people “ran in and circled” Bondi, preventing her from entering the theater. Again, the Trooper asked the protesters to back off. Bondi and her boyfriend went to get popcorn and the same group surrounded her a third time. This time they were also taunting her boyfriend, asking him what he was going to do about their rude behavior. Bondi says they were so close that one person spit on her head, though she’s not sure it was intentional. Despite all this, Bondi refused to leave the theater.

After the film ended, a Trooper asked if she wanted to leave from the rear exit. She declined and went out the front where she was once again shouted at by the hecklers. That’s what you see in the video above.

Why is the resistance so misogynistic?

It’s still early in this new phase of the resistance, but one noteworthy aspect of this is that, so far, the public harassment seems to mostly be targeting women. In addition to Bond, we’ve all heard about the restaurant owner in Virginia who asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her husband to leave over the weekend. Before that, a group of socialists forced DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to leave a restaurant. And just last month, someone at a restaurant threw water at Fox News personality Tomi Lahren.

This behavior hasn’t been solely limited to women. White House adviser Stephen Miller was also harassed at a restaurant recently. But the harassers seem to heavily favor women as targets. Why is that?

Here’s the video of Bondi describing the harassment:
