The Jewish Community Center Association of North America has sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions expressing frustration over the apparent lack of progress in the case and asking for a meeting. The letter reads in part:

President Trump forcefully condemned the situation at the outset of a speech to Congress, DHS has promised heightened support to JCCs through its protective security advisors, and our leadership had the chance to meet with FBI Director Comey.

Still, we are frustrated with the progress in resolving this situation. We insist that all relevant federal agencies, including your own, apply all the resources available to identify and bring the perpetrator or perpetrators, who are trying to instill anxiety and fear in communities across the country, to justice.

The letter goes on to praise the work of local law enforcement calling them “a beacon of responsiveness and professionalism.” It concludes, “We respectfully request a meeting with you as soon as possible.”

The letter comes after another wave of bomb threats yesterday which was followed by even more threats today. NBC News reports there were threats Wednesday against JCCs in Kentucky and Connecticut:

The first threat was emailed overnight to the Jewish Community Center in West Hartford, reported NBC Connecticut. Authorities and center officials swept the building, but found no explosives, the station said. It was the second time this year the center has been the subject of threats, according to police.

Another bomb threat was called in to the Louisville Jewish Community Center around noon ET with authorities arriving minutes later.

In addition to those two threats, an ABC affiliate in Philadelphia reports a JCC in Delaware also received an emailed threat overnight which prompted the evacuation of the center Wednesday morning.

The JCC Association is not the only group urging action on the threats. Earlier this week, 100 Senators signed a letter which was sent to law enforcement officials in the Trump administration. The Washington Post reports the letter said in part, “We write to underscore the need for swift action with regard to the deeply troubling series of anonymous bomb threats made against Jewish Community Centers, Jewish day schools, synagogues and other buildings affiliated with Jewish organizations or institutions across the country.”

Last week the FBI made an arrest in connection with a handful of threats against JCCs. Juan Thompson is a former left-wing journalist who allegedly made threats under his own name in an effort to frame an ex-girlfriend for the crimes.
