Of the many alarming aspects of the Biden/Harris border crisis over the past several years, one of the most disturbing is the number of people on DHS's terror watch list that seem to keep showing up. Each of these "new arrivals" sparks a fresh round of alarm and warnings from Congress, the FBI, and elsewhere. But just how many such encounters have there been? And even more to the point, where are all of those people now? These are questions that the House Judiciary Committee has been probing and you're probably not going to find the answers they discovered comforting. It turns out that there have been more than 250 suspected terrorists from the watch list encountered. And even worse than that, out of that group, nearly 100 of them were still released into the interior of the country after being detained. How are we possibly allowing this to happen? (Fox News)
Nearly 100 illegal immigrants on the terror watch list have been released into the United States during the Biden administration, while Border Patrol agents have encountered migrants on the watch list from dozens of different countries, a new House report is revealing.
"Under the Biden-Harris Administration, of the more than 250 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist who were encountered by Border Patrol at the southwest border between fiscal years 2021 and 2023, DHS has released into American communities at least 99, with at least 34 others in DHS custody but not yet removed from the United States," the report by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, a copy of which was first obtained by Fox News Digital, says.
Biden and Harris have done many bad things in terms of our border policies that have shocked me, but this news left me almost entirely speechless. The House report goes on to note that in addition to the 250 people listed above, immigration courts have paroled an additional 27 people found to be on the watch list. We are further reminded that there have been literally tens of thousands of migrants who didn't manage to land a spot on the watch list but are from nations with ties to terrorism, including Afghanistan, Iran, China, Syria, and Uzbekistan.
The Committee's report goes on to point out the other obvious reality that people have been screaming about for years. The Border Patrol continues to inform us that there have been at least two million known gotaways at the border that never had their identities verified. How many of them might have been on the watch list? If you suspect that your name could show up there when you are being smuggled across the border, that would probably provide a strong incentive to ensure that you don't wind up being apprehended. We can't know how many people that would apply to, but I would wager good money that it's a non-zero number.
Under standard immigration policies, we were supposed to be allowing "the best and the brightest" to apply to come to America and contribute to our country's success. Those are the people who might merit parole on a case-by-case basis if there were some sort of snag in their application process. Wouldn't you imagine that people who have literally earned a place on the terror watch list would be just about the last people on the planet that you would choose to parole? Now they are out there somewhere wandering around our country and in most cases, we have no way of keeping track of them. Considering how horrendously mismanaged Biden's online parole application was, there are hundreds of thousands more incidents where we don't even know who they are.
Forgive me if I sound like a broken record, but this situation represents a clear and present danger to America's national security. Even the FBI Director has admitted that repeatedly. I'm frankly shocked that we haven't already seen another serious terror attack inside our borders, but it seems almost inevitable that one is on the way. And if/when that day comes, it will be Joe Biden and his Border Czar Kamala Harris who will have blood on their hands. God help us all.
