This is one of those infuriating stories that remind us of how libertine persuasions in Western Europe have led to permissive criminal justice systems that have steadily been infecting the United States in recent decades. There’s really no comfort to be taken by pointing out that it happened in Germany because it shouldn’t be happening anywhere. Three years ago, a 15-year-old girl was attending a party in Hamburg, Germany when she was dragged outside into the bushes and gang raped by eleven men. All eleven were identified and later detained. Two of the men were somehow acquitted, but the other nine were convicted. And yet only one of the nine was given a relatively light prison sentence and the other eight received no prison time at all. How in the world can anyone honestly say that this somehow resembles justice? (Daily Caller)
Eight of the nine men convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl in 2020 will not face jail time, according to German news outlet NIUS.
The 15-year-old girl was attending a party in Germany’s Hamburg Park in Sept. 2020 when she was allegedly dragged into the bushes and raped by 11 men, according to German news outlet NIUS.
Two of the men were acquitted, while nine were found guilty, but only one of the nine received a prison sentence. That 19-year-old defendant received only two years and nine months in prison, per NIUS.
The ordeal in the bushes lasted for two and a half hours. During the assault, the men filmed themselves raping and abusing the child. Over the course of the 18-month trial that followed, not one of them reportedly showed a moment of remorse in the courtroom. Then all but one of them was allowed to walk.
One excuse being offered is that the other eight defendants all received “youth sentences” of one to two years. Those sentences are considered to be almost automatically suspended under Germany’s liberal probation laws. They probably showed no remorse in court because their attorneys had assured them that they wouldn’t be held accountable.
The story grows even worse from that point if you can believe it. Of the original eleven suspects, only four were from Germany. The rest were migrants from Kuwait, Poland, Egypt, Libya and Iran. (Yes… Iran.) The defense brought in a female psychiatrist to testify on behalf of the pack of animals. She didn’t attempt to deny what the suspects had done. She instead claimed that the rapes were a “means of releasing frustration and anger” stemming from their “migration experiences and socio-cultural homelessness.”
The court apparently bought that bucket full of malarkey and showed leniency to the pack of violent rapists as some sort of apology for their migration experience. Of course, America really can’t point fingers at Germany over this given our own current conditions. We’re letting migrants go free on a daily basis, despite many of them having engaged in serious crimes beyond simply violating our borders. Do you really doubt that it will be all that long before we see a story similar to this one unfolding in the United States? (Assuming it hasn’t happened already and we just missed it.)
Those eleven men in Germany were able to form a multicultural band of villains who went out and brazenly destroyed the life of a child. That young woman will now have to live the rest of her life with the memories and mental scars from that two-and-a-half-hour ordeal. And she will do so knowing that nearly all of the fiends who tortured her were allowed to walk away freely after being treated as sympathetic characters by the courts that were supposed to protect her and the rest of the public. Mark my words… this tragedy is coming to a court near you before too long.
