As the IDF has killed an increasing number of Hamas fighters, they’ve been gathering and analyzing intelligence from the terrorists. One of the more chilling finds was revealed in secret papers found on the bodies of some of the attackers. One document orders the fighters to target “elementary schools and youth centers” in Israel. They are instructed to “kill as many people as possible.” They further identified poorly defended neighborhoods (kibbutzim) where civilian women and children could be more easily “ambushed and abducted.” The media obtained photographs of the documents and verified that they were authentic. Hamas terrorists were directed by their leaders to target elementary schools and youth centers in Israel to “kill as many people as possible” during their bloody sneak attack over the weekend, according to a report.
The disturbing plot was mapped out in “top secret” documents recovered by Israeli first responders from the bodies of Hamas fighters, according to NBC News, which obtained photos of the plans.
The harrowing attack plans fixated on assembly centers throughout three Israeli kibbutzim that border Gaza where civilians — namely women and children — could be easily ambushed and abducted.
We can learn quite a bit about the inner workings of Hamas from these documents. For one thing, the frequently portrayed image of Hamas as some sort of ragtag collection of rebels acting independently is a work of fiction. The leadership of Hamas divides its troops into specific units with different collections of weapons, explosives, and other equipment. Each group has a designated target, with specific facilities identified and objectives outlined.
One example was the attack on the Israeli Kibbutz of Kfar Sa’ad. Two units were sent, with one targeting the eastern side of the village while the other hit the western side. Individual buildings were circled and highlighted on the map with points of entry identified. The murderers were instructed to “kill as many as possible” and “capture hostages.”
We only know all of this because the attack was thankfully largely thwarted and the attackers themselves wound up being killed. (How disappointing it must have been to learn that there were not 72 virgins waiting for them.) But tactics aside, we learned something else from these documents. The assaults, rapes, and murders being perpetrated against women and children have not been the actions of “a few bad apples” in what is otherwise a military operation. Those are the orders from the top. It’s all part of the plan. The monstrosity on display is intentional. This is who Hamas is.
These are not “freedom fighters.” They are not “breaking the chains of apartheid.” Hamas is comprised from the top down of monsters walking the earth in human form. They exist only to destroy Israel, exterminate the Jewish people, and to do so in the most vile and sadistic manner possible. This is clearly being done to “send a message” to Jews around the world and those who would stand with and support them.
But that plan appears to be backfiring in a major way this month. The attack one week ago was several bridges too far. Their choice to broadcast their atrocities to social media on their victims’ cell phones left no room for doubt or claims of “Israeli propaganda” except among the most willfully blind. The trail of bodies of dead infants was photographed and Israeli leadership was finally forced to publish the pictures to stamp out the claims of terrorist sympathizers saying that it was all fake. The mask has been pulled fully away and the monsters have been shown to be real.
All of this make the current round of “protests” on American universities seem all the more evil and bizarre. I don’t recall anyone in the United States celebrating and defending al Qaeda after 9/11. When Pan Am Flight 103 came down in Lockerbie, I don’t recall anyone demanding that we find the bomber so we could pin a medal on him. So how do we have so many young (and predominantly leftist) people in the United States out there defending Hamas? Can anyone explain that to me?
