Just when you thought the transgender debate couldn’t become any more twisted, Canada decides to weigh in. And representing the Great White North is University of British Columbia journalism professor Dr. Katja Thieme. She was apparently upset about some comments from Reiley Gaines regarding the need to protect girls’ and women’s sports and decided to offer some child-rearing advice for parents. In her view, young women who do not want to be exposed to naked men in their locker rooms and showers clearly were not properly conditioned to experience “diversity” when they were young. With that in mind, she believes that children should be exposed to adult penises and vaginas so they will be better prepared to meet transgender people later in life. No… I’m not making this up. She actually said that. (Daily Mail)
A University professor has claimed kids should be exposed to adult genitalia to prepare them for the possibility of seeing a naked trans person, in a shocking jab at swimmer Riley Gaines.
Journalism professor Dr. Katja Thieme had made the comment in a Twitter post she shared criticizing swimmer and women’s rights advocate Riley Gaines.
Thieme, who teaches at the University of British Columbia, had been tweeted a video of Gaines explaining the effects of having to compete against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.
As you might expect, Riley Gaines quickly weighed in on the professor’s bizarre take.
You. Are. Deranged. And. Should. Be. In. Prison.
I'd tag you, but, naturally, you made your account private.
If you need a guest lecturer for you course, let me know. In the meantime, someone should check her search history. https://t.co/TJFkEEh07Z

Leftist trans activists keep insisting that they don’t endorse pedophilia, but then they continue to roll out people like this professor. This episode is in keeping with the push on the left for the public to accept “Minor Attracted Persons” (MAPs). They are seeking to normalize this sort of behavior and pushing to have everyone fall in line with this sick and twisted sort of thinking. But there is nothing “normal” about it. Riley Gaines is correct, and this professor should be investigated and put behind bars if it turns out that she is practicing what she is preaching.
There is an appropriate time for parents to explain the birds and the bees to children, including the anatomical differences between boys and girls. Kids will typically signal their parents when that time has arrived by beginning to ask the obvious questions that arise when they begin noticing those differences. But the correct parental response is not to immediately break out old copies of Playgirl and Penthouse. There are plenty of age-appropriate educational materials available.
As any parent will tell you, children grow up too darned fast as it is. And as Professor Thieme demonstrates, the world is unfortunately full of warped and potentially dangerous people who are all too willing to lead them into risky situations. Giving people like her a platform makes an already perilous environment even worse. But Canada has long since swung further to the left than even the more liberal states in America, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised.
Underlying Thieme’s argument is the ongoing demand to undermine girls’ and women’s sports, a cause that Gaines is fighting against admirably. But these pro-trans arguments have not taken hold with the public, thankfully. One poll taken just this summer found that almost 70% of Americans oppose allowing trans athletes to compete against actual girls and women. Others are unsure, while only a slim fraction think it’s okay. These activists need to realize that their twisted message is not taking hold and people aren’t nearly as stupid as they seem to assume. This is wrong and almost all sane people know it’s wrong.
You can’t defy nature or God’s natural order (however you prefer to define it) simply by declaring that reality no longer exists. And the government needs to stop tolerating this nonscientific nonsense in the name of “diversity.” Adults are free to dress however they like and call themselves what they wish. That is their right under our freedoms of speech and self-expression. But don’t try forcing the rest of us to go along with it or destroy women’s sports. It’s not going to end well.
