Trans activists attack feminist protest in New York

Yesterday morning, a group of feminist activists from Great Britain showed up in front of New York City Hall in Manhattan for a demonstration intended to promote the protection and identity of women. Dubbed “Let Women Speak,” the group sought to “preserve women’s spaces.” Things seemed to be proceeding peacefully until a group of roughly 100 transgender activists showed up and attempted to break up the demonstration. The trans contingent sought to tear down the metal barricades that had been set up around the protest, clashed with the police, and shouted threats of physical violence at the feminists. It was a simply surreal display. (National Review)

NovemTrans activists disrupted a protest to preserve women’s spaces at New York City Hall on Monday morning, threatening the assembled feminists and scuffling with police.

Soon after the protest began, counter-protesters crashed the “Let Women Speak” event and started pushing against a police barricade that was erected to protect the feminist demonstrators. The U.K.-based group — whose mission, according to its website, is to “foster a community in which all women feel empowered to speak” — held the Manhattan protest to cap off a fall tour of the U.S.

The NYPD confirmed to National Review that nine people were arrested amid the mayhem, with charges pending, though the department would not reveal whether those arrested were feminist protesters or transgender activists intent on disrupting the event.

A couple of video clips of the confrontation were posted to Twitter. You really need to turn on the volume and blow this up to full-screen to appreciate the bizarre scene that played out during the protest. I’m giving up on trying to find a nice way to describe scenes like this. It was simply a freak show.

In most of the news stories we hear about the ongoing transgender madness craze, it’s the trans activists who are always described as being in fear of being attacked or disrespected or “misgendered” or whatever. But during this protest, it was the feminists who were under attack for asking that women’s spaces and voices be protected. One trans counterprotester attempted to scale the fence while screaming that he was going to “f*** you up” to a feminist demonstrator on the other side.

The trans activists can also be seen getting up in the faces of the police, ringing bells and honking air horns at them. The NYPD didn’t tell National Review which groups’ members wound up being arrested, but from the available video, it shouldn’t be too hard to guess.

Another curious trend can be observed among the trans activists who were attacking the feminist demonstration. Most, though not all of them were of the male-to-female variety. Why is that? That seems to be very common wherever we see gatherings of this type. That’s not to say there haven’t been female-to-male “transitions” taking place. There certainly have, and one study I read suggested that this is the far more common direction of gender-bending. But among the ones taking to the streets, it’s usually the guys trying to be girls who are most common.

So is this the wave of the future? It took a couple of years for the BLM riots to calm down, though there are still plenty of remnants cropping up. Are we entering into a phase of “Trans Lives Matter” riots? I can’t be the only one who has been feeling like they’ve woken up inside of an Aldous Huxley novel, right? I mean, this has long since gone past the point of simply being strange or some sort of random oddity.

This is looking increasingly like the world has turned on its head. If we were only talking about a relatively tiny number of people with some deep, unresolved issues (as the medical community classified them until only recently), that would be one thing. But we have large professional medical associations now seriously promoting the idea that human gender is something you can simply switch on and off or back and forth because you “feel” like it. And it’s infecting our schools in a disastrous way. How did we get here? And far more importantly, how do we steer society back toward normalcy and fundamental reality?
