Unfathomable Depravity In Gaza

With all the political rhetoric thrown around in Washington these days, alternating between Donald Trump and Elon Musk as to whom is more Hitleresque depending on what level of government corruption they discover and bring to a halt, you'd think the October 7th attacks by Hamas on Israel alone would check that impulse to invoke Godwin's law in describing the Trump administration. But you'd be wrong.

A few weeks ago, when three hostages were released, emaciated to the point of looking like they'd spent a year inside an actual concentration camp, maybe that could get us to the place where you can disagree with policy and personnel decisions by the President without assuming he's literally turning into Hitler, or allowing his DOGE representative to turn into one.

This morning, the world was treated to levels of depravity on display not seen since the actual days of Nazi Germany.

As part of the latest round of hostages released, or in this case, the remains of hostages released, the bodies of 84-year-old Oded Lifshitz, 33-year-old Shiri Bibas, and her two infant children, Ariel and Kfir, were transferred from Hamas to the Israeli Defense Forces. The spectacle of the transfer is enough to make you vomit.

Masked terrorist butchers marched in to loud music and cheers from Palestinians celebrating the good work all around done by Hamas. Each box of remains had to go through metal detection and an IDF bomb disposal unit to make sure they weren't boobytrapped.

The coffins of the two children were mislabeled. The coffins, locked, were returned either without keys or keys that did not fit. They were displayed under a cartoon poster of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, complete with vampire fangs dripping blood he just drank. If you've ever wondered what antisemitism looks like, you need no more further examples.

It was such a bad day that Open Source Intel on X noted even the United Nations paused and said this handover was pretty cruel.

A death cult in Gaza that morally bankrupt, and yet you still have their champions in the United States, elected members of Congress in the Democratic Party, who still defend the Palestinian cause. They try to distinguish between Hamas and the regular people of what they would like to be Palestine.

There are no regular Palestinians. Their Jew hatred has taken them to a place of being irredeemable.

It was not just Hamas remnants participating in the handover today. Every terrorist group in the region wanted to join in unity for this celebration of death.

Lot in Genesis 19 tried to keep God from leveling the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. He believed he could find a handful of good people. In the end, Lot was forced to flee the city as God consumed everyone left behind, including Lot's wife, who turned back to look as they were running away. Those residents of Sodom and Gomorrah were not fundamentally different than Palestinians living in Gaza today.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, as busy as he can be trying to get a budget proposal and the roadmap to a reconciliation bill through the narrowest of majorities in Congress, still had the humanity to react to the inhumanity shown by the evil cowards in Gaza.

Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic leader, has not as of yet found an occasion on which to offer remarks.

Three members of the Squad, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of Brooklyn, are also silent. Here's one final image from the transfer today from our friend, John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting.

You won't hear much reporting about today on your nightly news. You won't see cable news people like Manu Raju roaming the halls with a loaded microphone and camera doing gotcha interviews, demanding Democratic members to comment. Evil, actual evil like this, is not convenient to the narrative of American politics right now. The objective is to stop Trump or slow him down by tripping up everyone around him whenever possible.

The plan in the United States Senate is to move to a final confirmation vote for Kash Patel to restore order to the Federal Bureau of Investigations, a move that cannot happen soon enough. While we wait for that final vote, Sheldon Whiteclub of Rhode Island is out there with this thought.

Actually, Senator, I saw evil today. Way too much of it for one lifetime. Kash Patel reforming the FBI is not it. And the fact that you morally equivocate on a day of depravity taken to this magnitude tells me something about where you come down on the side of evil.

Bethany Mandel did note that at the time of the transfer, the skies opened up and poured rain down on everyone attending.

Maybe a rainbow can return to Gaza one day...after the entire region has been paved over and the ground salted.
