What threats to democracy really look like

If one were to have noodled around regime media networks and/or social media posts by comrades of regime media the last few days, you would have been regaled with the constant wailing and gnashing of teeth over the threat to democracy that was Donald Trump’s town hall on CNN. If the former President ever deserved an attaboy, it would be for causing the leftists in media to eat their own in public like we’ve observed since Thursday night.

Here’s just a sample of how some notable voices on the left viewed the decision by CNN to hold the town hall as well as how the town hall went.

Clearly, the talking point has been circulated. Here’s the thing. There actually was a story revealed the day of Trump’s town hall that actually demonstrates a true threat to democracy. And to be technically accurate, this story is about multiple threats to democracy. Let me take you to Loudon County, Virginia, where a group of people exist calling themselves the Loudon Love Warriors. Here’s the pith of the gist as told by WJLA, the Arlington, VA affiliate for ABC:

7News was the first to report how some people have been threatened online after they spoke at Loudoun County school board meetings.

On Wednesday, a whistleblower in the Loudoun Love Warriors Facebook group sent 7News a list that allegedly targets parents who have spoken out about education issues in Loudoun County.

The list appears to target more than 100 people, including a number of elected officials and political candidates.

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, Governor Glenn Youngkin, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, Del. David LaRock, School Board member John Beatty, School Board candidate Michael Rivera, Prince William County Supervisor Jeanine Lawson, and 2022 congressional candidate Hung Cao are all on this list.

Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg and the church’s incoming school are on the list, too. Cornerstone Chapel is one of the largest churches in Loudoun County.

Needless to say, the governor of the Commonwealth, Glenn Youngkin, was not amused. He’s shocked and outraged, and has called upon the state’s attorney general to open up an investigation. In addition, Reps. Chip Roy and Bob Good wrote a scathing letter to Loudon County School Board Chair Ian Serotkin.

Mark Winn is a parent of a student in a Loudon County School. He was not happy with the performance of his school and spoke in the public forum section of a school board meeting in December, 2022. For this crime against democracy, the Loudon Love Warriors, which we’ll get to who they are in a moment, replied this case on their Facebook group.

• “Mark Winn. I’m gonna find his employer.”
• “And holding that company accountable until he is fired.”
• “Lets make him unemployable by love or by force.”
• “Wish I had footage of every person who clapped for him and give them the same ousting that Winn is about to.”
• “I want to contact his employer to do just that. Ruin his livelihood.”
• “Say goodbye to your job f***** [middle finger emoji].”
• “I want every single person who clapped for that ousted en masse and their livelihoods ruined:).”

Then, the Loudon Love Warriors really started going to work on him for engaging in democracy.

• “Im telling you. SOMETHING has to happen to one of them.”
• “Something public and permanent.”
• “Lines drawn in the cement.”
• “Lives needs to be ruined beyond repair.”
• “Lets actually destroy them. Grind them.”
• “If he had said that s*** about black kids or autistic kids I would shoot him.”
• “We REALLY need to find this guy.”
• “You guys need to stop protesting and start fighting back against these people Time to just do something different to shut them down.”
• “F*** just getting him [fired].”
• “Im soooo ready to show up with guns lol.”
• “His life needs to be PERMANENTLY disassembled.”

Now I’m no rocket scientist, but if you ask me to describe what threats to democracy look like, I’d say you’ve found it. A local real estate agent went ahead and doxed Mr. Winn by posting his home address to the group thread.

Now who are the people that constitute the Loudon Love Warriors? Why, none other than campaign workers, staff, and volunteers for Democratic County elected officials. From WJLA:

The “Loudoun Love Warriors” group includes people who appear to be associated with Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj, County Supervisor Juli Briskman, School Board Chair Ian Serotkin, school board member Brenda Sheridan, school board member Atoosa Reaser, school board member Erika Ogedegbe, school board candidate Anne Donohue, sheriff candidate Craig Buckley, and Chair Phyllis Randall. None of these elected officials personally made any threats.

Some of the people in the group are even paid by the elected official’s campaigns and work in their official offices.

Donald Trump being hounded incessantly about January 6th and the outcome of the 2020 election and horrified to learn he hasn’t changed his opinion? Threat to democracy.

Organizing how to destroy the lives of parents who dare to question what’s being done to their kids in public schools in NoVA? Well, it’s a nice career you have. Would be a shame if something were to happen to it if you keep running your mouth in public hearings.

I still believe when the election does happen in 2024, regardless of who is on the ticket for either party, at least a couple of cylinders in the engine that’s going to drive people to vote in droves will be powered by a revulsion to how badly the left has overreached in brainwashing our kids.

The blowback began with Youngkin’s election in Virginia. It hasn’t yet had a chance to be felt at the presidential level. Thanks in part to the tactics of Loudon County’s Facebook brown shirts, we’ll have yet another reference point with which to refer to in order to remind parents what’s really at stake the next four years.
