A bit more eloquent than the “Dude, that was like, two years ago” dismissal, perhaps, but the sentiment is more or less the same: The White House is not going to budge on the endless obfuscation, admit that they ever deliberately tried to spin a more favorable false narrative, nor back down from the claim that this is an oh-so-tired nothingburger in which Republicans are miring themselves to their own supposed disadvantage.
