Cutter: Women "not really concerned about what's happened over the last four years"

You know something? I’ve changed my mind. There most definitely is a “war on women” going on — but it’s not being orchestrated by the Right, no no. It’s coming from the Left, in an attempt to lump me into some hapless, helpless voting bloc whose members are incapable of thinking critically and probably shouldn’t try.

Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter: “We’ll continue doing what we have been doing, trying to get the president’s message out on the ground. Whether it’s in the suburban areas of Northern Virginia, or Denver, Ohio, to talk about what the president wants to do in the future. That’s the other thing that you find most often with women. They’re not really concerned about what’s happened over the last four years, they really want to know what’s going to happen in the next four years.”

Face. Palm. It is quite true that I care a lot about what’s going to happen in the next four years — which is why I would be an idiot to disregard what’s gone on in the past four. I most profoundly am concerned with the travesty of an economic recovery we’ve had during President Obama’s tenure, and you bet it’s going to influence my vote. I am not going to just fall in line while you tell me to look “Forward” and that the only things I need concern my sweet little head about are reproductive rights and gender equality because it’s such a “scary” time to be a woman, blah blah blah. In the next four years, I’d like to sure of economic growth, job creation, fiscal solvency, and national security — and President Obama’s record isn’t looking too hot.
