Have you ever heard the story of Uncle Don?
In the heyday of radio, before television took over as the primary means of mass communication, Uncle Don hosted a radio show for children. You know the type: sing-alongs, games, and so on. Uncle Don became a beloved figure in his community over the years, until one day Uncle Don didn't realize the microphone was still hot in the studio after his sign-off. He said, "That ought to hold the little b****rds!" Horrified by what Uncle Don really thought of his audience, listeners boycotted, Uncle Don lost his job, and went on to die in miserable oblivion.
There's only one thing wrong with this story: It never happened. It's an urban legend, served up as a cautionary tale to generations of radio hosts (including myself) as a terrifying warning that microphones are always live. And it works too, because no one wants to become the real Uncle Don.
It never happened ... until last night. Joe Biden did a perfect Uncle Don in revealing what he really thinks about American voters. This wasn't a mistake, and apostrophes have nothing to do with his true meaning. Joe Biden has always been a vicious and divisive demagogue with good media PR, and that's it.
It's not even the first time Biden's done an Uncle Don, or at least a partial Uncle Don. Four years ago, when Biden was clearly more compos mentis than he is at the moment, he told a reporter that voters don't deserve to know his position on court-packing -- less than a month before the election:
Biden is asked if voters deserve to know if he will pack the Supreme Court.

As I wrote at the time, Biden routinely becomes arrogant and angry when challenged:
It’s not the first time that Biden has gotten provoked by questions into letting loose his inner elitist, but it’s surprising that it’s taken this long into the general election for it to happen. When challenged in his career, Biden has at times threatened to start a fistfight or demand an IQ-test comparison. His anger management issues had Democrats worried before the first debate, and apparently intrigued Donald Trump enough to goad Biden by bringing up Biden’s lies about his educational record in that debate.
In other words, "the only garbage I see is his supporters" isn't a fumble or a gaffe. It's a Freudian slip at best, and more likely a symptom of Biden's dementia and failing filters. This is what Joe Biden really thinks of you. The Protection Racket Media loves to gas on about his supposed empathy and concern, but Biden has only ever been concerned about Biden. He loves voters only when they support him; when they don't, he gets angry and vindictive. Remember Biden telling black voters that "if you don't vote for me, you ain't black"? If you don't vote for Joe, you're worthless garbage. It's the exact same contempt, only scaled up to full.
And it's not just Joe Biden who thinks we're garbage; the entire progressive-elite clique does as well. Barack and Michelle Obama spent the last couple of weeks exhibiting their contempt for voters who might not have wanted another four years of Democrat incompetence and accountability. Both of the Obamas accused voters of misogyny for even considering a different choice than the status quo of Kamala Harris. Hillary Clinton dusted off her "basket of deplorables" strategy for the home stretch this month too, once again arguing that Harris was just as entitled to the office as she was eight years ago.
Kamala Harris thinks you're garbage, too. She has continually used Joe Biden's approach that voters don't deserve answers from her about her positions, her flip-flops, and how or whether she'll do anything different than the previous disastrous four years in office. Her speech last night demanded the vote on the basis that Trump should be disqualified from office and that his followers were fascists and Nazis. Even in her "closing argument," Harris refused to answer any of those questions to her last breath because we don't deserve answers.
So do other Democrats in leadership positions. Gavin Newsom imposed COVID restrictions on Californians, and then went gallivanting to the French Laundry restaurant to violate them. Gretchen Whitmer's Dorito Eucharist not only treated Catholics with contempt but also modeled how Democrat pols see themselves -- as high priests/priestesses, delivering policies while the hoi polloi are expected to do nothing except kneel ... and swallow.
And on that note, the Protection Racket Media thinks you're garbage as well. They spent two whole days hyperventilating over a warm-up act at Trump's rally calling the island of Puerto Rico "garbage." The sitting president literally called half of American voters "garbage" on national TV yesterday, and the media is still pretending that the rally is still the story this morning:
The current president just called half of all American voters garbage. Still gonna go with this, eh, @politico? https://t.co/p1a2ZB1oaQ

The progressive-elite clique running the media and Big Tech despises us, too. That's why they combine with their progressive-elite clique allies in government and Academia to undermine free speech and debate with nonsense "misinformation" censorship. They want to dictate to us, not inform us. When the president of the United States declares half of American voters "garbage," they start discussing apostrophes to hide the obvious. Even the media couldn't really swallow that comment with the actual video available to all:
Even CNN isn't buying the pathetic spin from Harris-Biden allies after Biden called Trump supporters "garbage": "It's hard to really look at that when you can listen to it for yourself." pic.twitter.com/vJoypAc1KE

The masks are off in this Uncle Don moment. The reason this will stick is because voters already had built a healthy mistrust of the progressive-elite clique and its leadership even before Biden got put in front of a microphone. This isn't just an expression of a poor moment of frustration; it's the exposure of who and what Joe Biden and his clique really are.
In that sense, the better analogy may be the film A Face in the Crowd, which reimagined the Uncle Don urban legend into a political cautionary tale. Andy Griffith played a populist politician whose contempt for his audience finally emerges in a hot-mic situation:
This is the "good night you stupid people" moment for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, the Obamas, the Clintons, and the Protection Racket Media.
